Your right, it is a choice to submit (that is what I meant by “God does not demand obedience, He only requires it” you are free to choose dis-obedience). However you have to ignore scripture to say that a wife does not have to submit to her husband.

Hi Jill,I opened my post with a statement that women are just as capable as men. If your angry about submission to your husband (if you have one), you'll have to discuss that with God.If there is an interpretation that true to scripture I'm open to it, but I cannot bend to being politically correct.

I believe it has nothing to do with the capabilities of a women or her relationship to God. God has proclaimed that the husband will rule over the wife (not lord it over his wife). During that time period for a wife to speak within the assembly showed a lack of submission to the husband and was cause for speaking against the Christian teaching…[Read more]

Hebrews 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much…[Read more]

seminarian,I believe David has a heart for God, however I too am concerned about his aliance with the JW's. However not just JW's but any denomination where we might start trusting more in their doctrine, then in the Lord. I've had many a discussion with David and although we disagree (and I've even questioned his tatics at time) I do believe…[Read more]

Hi Mercy,You echo my first posts also, and I still feel it's true. It is great to know that there are others of like belief. Before I found this site I kept questioning my reasoning and wondering if somehow I was missing something (being the only one I knew who arrived at these “new” conclusions). I knew that doctrine was being churned out by oth…[Read more]

So is this telling us that there are more then 1 heaven or is it 1 heaven but many layers. I am wondering if the greater your faith the closer you…[Read more]

Gods ways are not our ways. I believe we will find that there is a lot of truth to that story. We pray for God to use us, then when He brings trials our way, we resist, what we should embrace, so that God could be glorified.

I live in a small town on lake michigan. I really like it here but wish the winters were shorter. I love living in a small town people are friendly and we don't have to lock our doors. I have family in St louis and went there as a kid, all I remember is how hot it was (went in Aug.).

Quote (seminarian @ June 27 2006,05:00)Hello All,Kenrch, your reply to beenblake was poetic.  I agree that religiosity will not draw you nearer to God.  We can become “inflated” in our own minds.  Here's the bottom line on the “Jesus is God” topic.  Jesus Christ HAS A GOD (God the Father).  6 “so that with one accord you may with one voice glor…[Read more]

In regards to “Christian” circles I believe it is because for the most part we are blind to our own faults, but quickly see them in others, and instead of approaching that brother (or sister) with fear and trembling, we do so arrogantly. At this point God's Spirit is not involved, and therefore love is not part of the process.I desire to love all…[Read more]

I've always felt that the rest of scripture shows this verse to mean that lucifer was filled with pride and even though he was a created being he felt he could be equal to God. The pre-incarnate Christ was far greater then lucifer being the only begotten Son, but felt equality with God was not something to be grasped. He chose rather to humble…[Read more]

Cubes,I think you hit the nail on the head, if someone rejects truth, meaning they understand but choose to ignore the facts, then we should confront them. I was speaking of those who are earnest in their search but due to well planted misinformation (verses added to the Bible etc.) they may hear the truth, but see conflicts, and with the…[Read more]
