I know it would be wrong to bear a grudge. But just to be clear I do believe that unrepentance is a cause for taking increasing measures of confrontation ending with discontinued fellowship (and that done with the hope of repentance). So…if I do not seek revenge or harbor ill, and I have discontinued fellowship both as a warning to the individual…[Read more]

I agree we should address issues asapI've been praying and thinking about it since I wrote the above. I still wonder as it just seems wrong to not forgive someone (but is it my resistence to a change in my belief boundry or is it the Lord). As I've said before, I always just turn it over to God for justice knowing that I could be the one who was…[Read more]

I use the quote, then erase everything except the “” at the beginning, what you want to leave, and then the ” at the end and it will put only what you leave between the “quotes” in a box. NOTE: I had to drop the “e” from quote to get it to not do it.If it is a short section just hit the quote box above where you enter your post, copy and paste in…[Read more]

People hurt you all the time and not even know it and I'm sure I sin at times without knowing it, perhaps that is the difference, if you notify someone of a transgression and they fail to repent then you may continue in unforgiveness… This is definitely a paradigm shift for me.Question then, should I always rebuke a brother even for minor…[Read more]

There seems to be too many scriptures indicating the ability to lose it. Eternal Life is a destination of which no one can force me off the road to it, but I can chose to walk a different direction. Eternal life is the treasure of great value where we sell all to gain it, we cannot just claim it is ours or we may find ourselves as the man which…[Read more]

Scripture is not real clear but it does seem to lean slightly towards there being a “class” of people referred to as saints. I wonder if it may refer to those who are servants in the ministry; elders, bishops, etc. but the problem with that is Revelation 11:18And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they…[Read more]

Cubes,Perhapes I'm misunderstanding you when you say “whether they admit it or not, must believe (faith)!” I do not believe that faith is the same as belief. Faith involves acting on the belief by surrendering and putting trust in God. Belief can consist as only knowledge (even demons believe and tremble).I guess what I'm trying to say is, it is…[Read more]

Mark 11:25And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” One point to note is that it does not say “if you hold anything against anyone that has asked for forgiveness, forgive them” but it is a blanket “anyone” which I take to mean if I'm holding something a…[Read more]

I've have always believed that in the manner that we forgive others is the manner used by God to forgive us. It is one of the more important choices we make in life. I've always sought to forgive others whether they repent or not, as there are times I need that kind of forgiveness. This could just be another case where I'm being “nicer than God”,…[Read more]

In the flesh we cannot escape this judgment we are condemmed. Only through grace and by faith (putting our trust in Gods work of the cross that when we repent of our ways and seek His that He has provided the way) can we escape this judgment and even be rewarded for the works of this life (not that our works save us but God rewards us for them…[Read more]

The problem David is that scripture appears to say just that as Nick pointed out. I believe that when sin was first found in satan it was only apparent to God. The trouble was, that God knew that the sin in satan would grow and ruin all of heaven itself. So He created the lake of fire to destroy the irredeemable (which I believe that those exposed…[Read more]

Well said Nick,There cannot be true faith without works, but there can be works without true faith. However it is by the faith we are saved before we can even do our first good work (but the works will follow and are a sign of our true faith).Works are a result of being born again, we are not born again based on our works.Somewhat redundant…[Read more]
