T,Like you, I once was a project manager and with as little as I know of people I could predict a lot about how things would go on the project based on my limited knowledge of these people (but I cannot foresee).Wm

Quote (kerwin @ Jan. 21 2014,09:33)Seeking Truth,I do not know if your opinion aligns with Scripture as the first recorded instance of Satan showing at least the appearance of sin is when he used the serpent to tempt Eve to sin.In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth and Satan was a creature of the heavens. He only had a period of…[Read more]

To help others to better understand what I'm postulating:I believe that when sin manifested in lucifer, God understood He had to display for heaven's inhabitants why lucifer had to be thrown into the lake of fire (so they would continue to follow Him through love and not from fear). So I believe that God created our finite environment to…[Read more]

Actually one of your scriptures kind of supports my premise:Isaiah 14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying,***Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass***; and as ***I have purposed, so shall it stand***: It does not say “I have foresaw it, so shall it stand” but “I have purposed, so shall it stand”. All the other scriptures you…[Read more]

kerwin,Not a chance, but is it because God foresaw it or because God's knowledge and power is far beyond His adversaries. Thanks for your input – Wm

wakeup,No, that is the problem, I do not know that God knows the future, beyond what a being with infinite knowledge and infinite power can proclaim will happen (and cause to happen). That is why I'm scouring scripture to determine what the truth is, I'm not looking for opinions but what scripture teaches. So please post any scriptures you…[Read more]

wakeup,Thanks for the memory, your post made me smile, my mother was convinced that if I got a motorcycle (as a teenager) I would be dead in no time, well that was 44 years ago. Wakeup,Thanks for the scripture, but does this teach that God knew this from foreknowledge or that He was confident that He had what it takes to bring it to past (right under satan's nose)? Perhaps that is the reason for so much symbolism? Are there scripture(s) that clearly teach that God knows details in the future. Please be patient with me,…[Read more]

For the greater good, that is always God's motive, just as a cancer patient getting a lung removed, it sounds awful and it's not that they don't want it, but it is better for the whole to have it removed.Wm
