Thanks Irene,As usual I wasn't clear (sorry), I understood that part, what I wasn't sure of is the “times”, specifically “they were already serving a seven-time punishment period.”, I know of the seventy weeks in Daniel is it a different interpretation of it or something else? Thanks again – Wm

I agree with Irene that God is a title.Romans 8:15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”Many define Abba as Dad or even Daddy, Papa, etc. some argue this is irreverent. When the heart cries out the endearing factor of Abba come out much as…[Read more]

Irene,I have been studying your husbands post and find it interesting, wonder if you could ask him one question? He stated “At the time Jesus pronounced the destruction of their house, nation, they were already serving a seven-time punishment period. A time is a year of 360 days, God’s punishment is a year for a day, or 7×360 = 2520 years.” I w…[Read more]

Quote Do you honestly think Minorities would still be talking about injustice in the Countr if it did not exist?Trust me..when it stops..we will stop talking about it I believe there are those who keep it alive, if I get a ticket because I was speeding, I was “unlucky” enough to get caught. From the encyclopediaSlavesNo one knows the exact number of slaves that were taken from Africa. Philip Curtin in 1969 calculated that about 10 million slaves were taken from Africa. Other researchers found that 2 out of 10 slaves died before they arrived to the South or North America.Native Americanhow many people were living in the Americas when…[Read more]

Dk,If your looking for me to justify these wrongs I'm not going to do it (I wouldn't want to), but, as to being worse then the nazi's I believe you need to study history more. America has done both great evils and great good. You do not have to be “African-American” to have suffered in this country or any other country. I do believe God can work…[Read more]

DK,God always works for the greater good, I do not believe God ever wants war, but deeds of man bring them to pass. So do you believe that it was a sin to participate in the war against the nazi's?Wm

“Your will, not mine”, sounds like a choice.

I haven't read all your post yet (I will) but I want to be clear I fully agree that we have free will. If God did knew the future that does not force it to happen.Wm

dirtyknections,I'm still undecided on the level that God was aware of what would transpire. However I do not see blame falling on the Father, we judge difficulties in this life from a human perspective. I personally believe that God will “balance the books” (as indicated in the parable Jesus in Luke 16:25″But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that…[Read more]

Have you ever met a “christian” who is worse then anyone in the world? Sure you have, we all have. Now if you ask them they will say God is “on their side” I believe most of us would know better. Now have you ever met some one who is so “Godly” you're sure God is on their side (however they most likely would know better). It's not who “side” is…[Read more]

I believe that truth is absolute and scripture points to it, but we see through the glass darkly and we all misinterpret it in part and miss an area of truth but as DK stated there are essential truths (I may not agree with his list but I could be the one wrong). Those having the essential truth are part of the body of Christ and have their role…[Read more]

I believe it was summed up by Joshua's encounter when he asked what side they were on, I do not believe that God would want any war but they are at times necessary to make corrections in what would otherwise become a greater evil.Wm

In my opinion, a country has a God given right to defend it's self, while I would prefer to help through non-combative activities I do not believe it would be a sin to participate in any war defending the defenseless.Wm
