My opinion is that we are given sufficient more or less tangible proof, but it can be disputed, and it will be, by others and ourselves as time goes by. That is where faith comes in when your questioning the proof provided. For me at least the proof I rely on now is not as much the “tangible” proof which helped me connect with God, but the memory…[Read more]

Nick,Quote I struggle to see how all the plagues on Egypt could have been such.I watched Exodus Decoded on the History channel, it showed how a volcano erupting in Greece could have caused all ten plagues, I recommend watching it but if you can't I'll give a quick summary:The massiveness of the eruption caused earthquakes along a fault under the…[Read more]

Nick,What requires more power, to bump a nearby meteor into the earth or to set it on a course thousands of years ahead of time?Where did I say that God was ruled by nature? Quite the opposite I stated that God set up these occurrences to happen naturally.I consider an axe head floating, dead being raised, leprosy being cured, miracles don't you?I…[Read more]

Thank you VestnikRA for this question, it is one of those areas I've been meaning to spend time and to seek guidance so as to understand at what level God predestines our lives. What I've concluded best aligns with scripture is: When God gave to man, the dominion of the earth, He did just that. And in doing so He limited Himself in what He is able…[Read more]

While I agree that the Father's will, will be done, I believe that He accomplishes it not by having us play out a script, but by moving the people into place, who although making their own choice, accomplish God's ultimate will through “their” choices. I believe God obtains far more glory by displaying His ability to obtain His will through…[Read more]

I for one would like to see Ken re-instated. While I did not agree with his approach I believe he did, what he did, out of genuine concern, personally I find stu and kj far more offensive, and mostly their's is only for the sake of their own amusment.my opinion – Wm

I just want to be clear while today it is clearly taboo there had to be some differences early on if two people populated the earth. With the loss in the gene pool over many generations any offspring from even cousins now will most likely have problems but it most likely was not a problem with the diversity in Adam and Eves Genes. I''m not…[Read more]

Dk,For the most part I agree, I do not believe we are to the point where God has called us out, I believe this will happen when the true believers attending a “traditional church” begin to be persecuted (by the “church”) for their stand and while this may have started in some churches the one I attend is still open. I expect home cells to increase…[Read more]

Lot had lost all of his possessions, his dreams, his wedded daughter(s), his wife… It probably didn't take much to get him to drink to excess. charity,I believe He was quoting the first line of Psalm 22, in doing so He was announcing to those watching that “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” same as He did in Luke 4 Psalm 22:1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning? 2 O my God, I cry out by day,…[Read more]

Quote Thanks. What I see is someone taking a position. I could take 5 minutes and find an opposing view from another Christian site that takes another position. Since Jesus is not around to clarify, both positions will be “right”. All you have to do is look over the threads in the “Believer's Place” to realize the bible can lead to all sorts of…[Read more]

In regards to the topic of dietary law being discussed, an earlier verse to the one being discussed states “For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands in a special way, holding the tradition of the elders.” He was not talking about eating pork (as Kejonn keeps saying) but had to do with eating with hands not…[Read more]
