Kerwin,I do like reading what people believe and it helps to understand where their coming from. I agree with Irene in that I don't remember the last time I broke one of the ten commandments in the flesh, but I doubt a day goes by that I don't have to reign in my thoughts as I've had a flash of something that isn't based in love.”and we take…[Read more]

T8, Great posts, however I think you forgot some commas – When intelligence is not involved, what do you have left, Stu? Sorry Stu I couldn't resist, in fact you are intelligent, to a point. But you have become vain in your reasonings, contributing the glory of God's creation to pure chance. It surely demonstrates the truth in scripture,…[Read more]

I believe it will have long term effects:Jeremiah 29:13You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. To be consumed in our search for God is not a bad thing however if you dwell too long on opinions and not enough in scripture searching out the truth behind others opinions, it can be detrimental. My opinion – Wm

You still haven't answer me on why you quote select scriptures (twisted to suit your purposes) while rejecting the rest of the book that prove your misinterpreting your select verses. If Jesus showed us plainly of the Father then why do you not believe what He says.Wm
seekingtruth replied to the topic Did god send jesus to die? in the forum Other Faiths 14 years, 6 months ago
It was for mercy that the Father gave His Son, who in turn offered Himself up (Jesus could have stopped it at anytime). The Father did not force Jesus to sacrifice, it was a sacrifice that had to be made, it satisfied His righteousness and the demand for justice, while showing the love that is God. God always acts for the greater good. As far as…[Read more]

Yes I did know, that is why we home schooled, one of our better decisions we made, I highly recommend it. Our teenage son still hangs out with mom and dad, and says he loves us (even in public). Wm

bodhitharta,How do you justify quoting from a book you believe so little of? You say God wants mercy not sacrifice, I agree. I also agree that islam is into submission and those who refuse to submit to islam are put to death, per the quran, not a lot of mercy there. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you…[Read more]

terraricca,I recently had my business, patent, savings, retirement, and equity in my home taken from me by an individual who used the courts as a weapon, and this was in spite that I had been faithful with him in all I did. He believes he is proving that Jesus did not die (which is what he believes) since spirits don't eat. Why he would use one verse out of a book to disprove the rest of the book is beyond me. But it is obvious that he does not understand resurrection. My opinion – Wm

Personally I believe that all references in the OT where God appeared to someone it was Jesus. Jesus was acting as the Father's Agent – An agent is a person who is authorized to act on behalf of another party and represent their interest. It could also be likened to a TV, I saw Obama on TV last night, now I didn't see Obama, I saw his image. The…[Read more]

I believe it is what God wants us to learn while here1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I…[Read more]
