If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. Lk 11
So if you are known by the Father by rebirth of Water you can ask Him to baptise you in the Spirit and He will.

”Before Abraham I am” was spoken by the Son in whom God dwelled.
we know that God spoke through the Son as Heb 1 told us.
why should it confuse folks?
God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself.

It is the Spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing; the words I have spoken to you
are Spirit and they are life.
Jn 6.63
Believe and gorge yourselves on the Words of life.
listen to the Spirit in the Son of God.

For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust that he might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit, in which also he went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, who once were disobedient, of God kept waiting in the days of Noah during the construction of the Ark, in…[Read more]

These promises are for those who share in the death of the Lord by baptism into his body in his name. They inherit a place in the first resurrection and the Millenial reign. Glimpses of their roles can be seen in Lk 19- the parable of money usage.

2 Tim 2.11
It is a trustworthy statement
’ For if we died with him, we will also live with him.
If we endure , we will also reign with him;
If we deny him he will also deny us;
If we are faithless he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.’

It seems when folks do not grasp what is written they fill the gaps from their imagination and find plenty of support for falsehoods.

Thank you.
Rev 20 gives some light.
And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, , who is the devil and Satan and bound him for 1000 years; and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the 1000 years were completed…

There are faults in every Bible. The NIV BLATANTLY adds to scripture.. In Jn 12 41 it adds JESUS, which did not come from any manuscript.
But knowing there are faults does not mean we are fit to be a judge of scripture.

Jesus was sent to the Jewish people and he explained the Law to them.
However he offered the kingdom to the rich young man who wanted more.
Sadly he was too enamoured with his money.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

It is wonderful to be IN the faithful servant Jesus Christ and to know that he has filled all the requirements of God for us.
Of course Jesus saying “ your sins are forgiven” does not mean that Jesus has forgiven the sins but he is stating what God has done- God has wiped the conscience of the man clean just as He does for us in true baptism in…[Read more]

Knowledge is a vanity if it is not aligned with Wisdom.
Understanding with too if aligned with pathetic logic or human wisdom.
Knowing the Word is truth means we must approach it humbly and let it teach us.
There is no room for expertise for all at best are students hoping to learn .

Since scriptural truth is established in the mouth of scriptural witnesses( 2 Cor 13.1)
we have few backup verses to establish the meaning of this verse as far as I know.

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, and the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord
