    1) The fact is that your point does not at all diminish the entity from being the HolySpirit. If you think it does, please continue…Edj, it doesn't diminish the entity from being Michael the Archangel either. 2) Thank you for admitting it has nothing to do with gender.Once again the candidate of the HolySpirit is not diminished. I suppose the idea is that in order to win, you have to be strategic and try and cut of any chance that your opponent can say anything of value.Quite smart except that the shutting out the truth with such things is detrimental to the health of a persons faith in God.So the real loser is the one who tries to win an argument at the expense of truth…[Read more]

I think that there is confusion here based on not distinguishing between attributes and persons.Attributes even objects are often called 'she”, while a person 'he'.Also a person reacts to things, while an attribute cannot.A person can feel delight. An attribute cannot.

Quote (Ed J @ Dec. 07 2011,09:20)Hi Mike,The bible says that “The Word” of the LORD came to them (meaning the Prophets),if we agree God's HolySpirit came to them, then God's HolySpirit is “The Word” of God; right? Why can't God's Spirit deliver the Word or the message to the Prophets. There is probably a reason why the Spirit and Word are different…[Read more]

Hi Edj.Correct it is brought forth. So as you said sorry, I am going to have to say 'sorry sorry' because brought forth is used in other verses when talking not just of things, but also to bring forth a child. The following verses use the same word (chuwl {khool} or chiyl {kheel}):Proverbs 26:10: The great God that formed all things both rewardeth…[Read more]

To the Greeks, the term Logos was used to describe the agency by which God created physical things. In short the Logos was thought of as a bridge between the transcendent God and the physical realm. Is it then a coincidence that Jesus (Not Logos in this case) is identified as the mediator between man and God in 1 Timothy 2:5For there is one God,…[Read more]

Agreed Mike.He/She/It is not distinguished in Greek, but is understood by the context. So yes IT is possible. However, the context is the Word, so if we go for “It” then when it clearly references Jesus without using his name it is thus still speaking of the Word. So if the Word is doing things and being described as Jesus, then the conclusion is…[Read more]
