I think morality comes from the Bible as much law is based on the 10 commandments, but also that we use the Bible to enforce or support our view of morality. It is not one or the other but both. There are billions of humans and they try out things all the time. So it is the perfect world for witnesses to see the wisdom playout between the battle…[Read more]

Netanyahu’s Speech at the United Nations General Assembly on September 29, 2014.
Netanyahu says that ISIS and Hamas are part of the same ‘poisonous tree’. He also gives this quote: “Israel was using missiles to protect its children, Hamas was using its children to protect its missiles”.

God is the source and Yeshua is his offspring or son. Thus he is the image of God. So while he may not be a fractal, you could use a fractal as a parable to describe the relationship with God and his son.

I agree with you david that people cherry pick verses out of the Bible to support what they are doing. That is fine of course, but stretching it toward unsavoury behaviour is taking it out of context.
Jesus says this to the saints: “…he that overcometh, and keepeth My works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: and he shall…[Read more]

The truly great leaders will be those who would rather listen than talk, always seeking more understanding.
If we read the Scriptures with a truly humble heart, we will not do so in an attempt to justify our positions, but rather we will be seeking corrections for our positions.

Are we going to take turns giving speeches?
-Or-
Are we going to respond to the points each other makes?I don’t think we need to go through each point as I do not conclusively hold to any view.
But you could argue why or why the overall view is not consistent with prophecy in scripture.
Or perhaps pick on the main points. Also wondering if we…[Read more]

then what does this mean to you brother, “NO” man “CAN”, COME UNTO ME” except the Father “Draw” him.”.
What does that mean? It means exactly what it says. No man can come to Christ unless the Father draws him.
What it doesn’t say is that all who are drawn to Christ will follow Christ.
It also doesn’t say that God will NOT draw some people bec…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic in the forum Free Will? 11 years, 11 months ago

Yes the wicked will perish forever and ever. They will never have life. Life is given to those that believe and trust in God and his son.

Gene, free will relies on the premise that we are compelled by things to choose. We are led and encouraged by the Spirit. We are tempted by the Devil. We are seduced by the flesh. And what makes us choose among these is the one we love the most. Sure we engage in all three in life, but ultimately how we choose to live determines the person we have…[Read more]

First off, I should remind you (not that you have probably forgotten) that I don’t hold any view here for sure. I can see that of the different views there are strengths and weakness for the Islamic, Preterist, and Futurist views. In addition to that, the usual suspects for Babylon all have strong cases made for them, Rome, Jerusalem, New York,…[Read more]
