So the spirit of an unbelievers/unsaved goes back to God. Then in the resurrection, it is given back so that they can be conscious to suffer eternally? In essence their souls are alive and suffering for all eternity and God’s spirit makes this possible?
Forgive me if I have you wrong on this, but I am taking what you have declared…[Read more]

EdJ
Last post first line on previous page.
Also above the part that you did understand regarding God’s spirit being the Holy Spirit.
The line is as clear as that line that you clearly understood.I want you to read it there because it wastes too much time when I have to repeat myself over and over.
I want to set a precedent and point people to…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic in the forum Preexistence 11 years, 11 months ago
I agree with Nick WU. It is more likely that Babylon is religious in nature rather than the world’s economic system.
When God destroyed the original Babylon it was not because of its economic activity. It was because of their idols which God destroyed. So it would stand to reason that Mystery Babylon would be like the Babylon from whence it…[Read more]

EdJ, if you had enough power of reason to read my very clear posts on the previous page and see that I believe that the Holy Spirit is the spirit of God, then you should equally have seen that I answered your question in the same post as clear as day. Further, in a previous post on the same page you will see my view clearly again.
I don’t have to…[Read more]

Is Jesus God? Does Jesus have a spirit or is he a spirit? Then the Father is his God and our God.
John 20:17

Knowledge is good, but there is something even better.
Proverbs 8:11
for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.Proverbs 16:16
How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!Proverbs 3:13-14

I think I am pretty much on the same page as you. Although it does now raise the issue of the dead who are not in Christ.
If their spirit goes back to God who gave it, and they have not the Spirit of God, then that would make them non-existent or in a state of non-consciousness. What is your view here?

If it waddles like a duck, quacks like a duck, and came from a duck…it is another duck, right!?
Think about it.Could also be an image of a duck, made in the likeness of a duck, or the offspring of a duck.
God is theos in nature but is also the one true Theos.
Satan is devil in nature and identity. Other are devil in nature but not the Devil h…[Read more]

The only true God, the Father, has a part of Him that is just like Him as offsprings always are. Hebrew names, from what I understand, reflect some significant character, feature, or purpose from what I have read and the name Jehovah reflects a state of being…an always existent state of being and that sets Him apart from all created beings that m…

I agree, however I thought you use to teach that we die and at the resurrection we become alive again, but not before. I use to debate members here that when we die we are present with the lord and very much alive. But everyone else (and I thought you) taught that this was not the case, rather that we die until the resurrection.

So while we are living here and now and with the Holy Spirit, we have two spirits, the one that gave our soul life originally and the other which gives eternal life. When we die, the original spirit is given back to God effectively making the soul die, but the Holy Spirit keeps the soul of the Believer alive and forever more.
This happened to…[Read more]

Some prophecies are warnings for things to come and they will become evident at the right time. Jumping the gun on them is precisely why there are so many theories. God will make it clear to those who are awake. I don’t see that the economic system is guilty of the martyrs. I await to see what God will reveal in his time. I don’t see the economic…[Read more]

What about this Kerwin.
First off, one must understand the nomina sacra (sacred names). These are abbreviations, in early manuscripts, of certain names and titles.
In ancient manuscripts 1 Timothy 3:16 had the word “os” which looks like: “OC” and means “he”.
The nomina sacra of God looks like OC but instead it has a horizontal line throug…

Well given the amount of conflicting teachings on End Times, then most would have to be wrong. It is not a matter of what I doubt, but what I can accept as certain because scripture makes it plain enough. However, sometimes things have to happen before it becomes plain. In saying that, I am aware of the main theories of how the End Times will play…[Read more]
