Hi Camilla. When I think of that verse in Revelation it reminds me of the times on Earth when people give one minutes silence for the victims of a tragedy. Like the Christchurch earthquake. Many times during sport events, anniversaries, etc, one minutes silence was observed.

So what happens on Earth when heaven is silent for half an hour.

Nick I think the sheer amount of people that see the same things whether hellish or heavenly is testimony in itself. The idea that people all have the same hallucination is a bit hard to believe IMO.
