A very great Ottoman empire indeed; but fortunately it is no more with us.

And one of the heads received a mortal wound meaning the beast died. But it came back to life again. So yes, it is not with us, but there is a prophecy for that.
For thousands of years the beast ruled the Middle East. Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, and the…[Read more]

Good post Grasshopper, but I suspect that Gene will be too stubborn to accept your words and largely CHOOSE to ignore them. Much of the Bible wouldn’t make sense if Gene was right. We wouldn’t be set free, we wouldn’t bother with the gospel, we wouldn’t try to choose God each day in the decisions we make. Perhaps Gene believes his view because he…[Read more]

Now you deny basic history by reason of defending your predefined belief. I have seen this many times with people because they are generally stubborn once their mind is made up. Unfortunately with prophecy this can lead to blindness.
Read about the Byzantine period of the Roman Empire since the days Constantine moved the capital of the empire…[Read more]

Please select which one is your understanding-
a) Jesus was not God with the God in the beginning.
b) Jesus was God who was with the God in the beginning.I believe that Jesus existed in the form of God, emptied himself, partook of flesh, died, rose from the grave, taken up to be at the right hand of God in the glory that he had with him before…[Read more]

You claim to believe this but clearly you do not.
“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”
Read what Jesus said. He mentions two.
1) the only true God
2) himself (Jesus Christ) whom the true God has sent
NOTE: Jesus is not 1) he is 2), therefore he is not the only true God. Clea…[Read more]

Do you now think that YOU too were the eternal life that was with the Father from the beginning? I don’t think so. Only the living Word (Jesus) was the eternal life which WAS WITH the Father. Sorry to disappoint you.
You’re barking up the wrong tree. The beginning is a starting point and no matter when you obtain eternal life, it doesn’t make y…[Read more]

The biggest difficulty I have with the British Empire view is that it didn’t conquer the Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire did.

You believe the British Empire is the beast I take it and not the Ottoman Empire that conquered Rome.
The biggest difficulty I have with the British Empire view is that it didn’t conquer the Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire did.

But we didn’t conquer and mix with the iron, (Roman Empire).
Lots of things are mixed. Context is everything sometimes.
