The currant “Recent Replies” widget only shows the posts made by the minute, but doesn’t show each topic that is active.

Current topics are topics that have current posts, correct? So what is the difference. I could easily change the heading of that widget to Active Topics and it would be the same thing. I know that this would not include new t…[Read more]

Have a look down the bottom of each page. There is currently a site-wide Google Search which includes the forums. I had to turn off the native search engine as it was too taxing for the server resources. It maxed out the CPU allowance as it trolled through 40,000 posts, resulting in the site being throttled for a short time. I plan on putting t…[Read more]

Free will among the options Gene. We cannot choose any option, but from the available options.

I cannot go to the moon right now. It is not a current option for me.

God directs our footsteps, but we choose where we put our feet.

Layout the basic premise with the most compelling information. In other words, try not to make it too long if you can. We can explore it is depth after that. Cheers. Of course I am open minded regarding this view. I haven’t settled on one particular view right now. But know that I will test whatever theory is presented.

WU, I noticed after reordering the forums and moving topics here and there, that you have created many topics pertaining to conspiracy theories. This helps me understand your world view to some degree. I have some old school friends who are engaged in conspiracies and post them regularly to Facebook, so I am aware of many of them. They are all…[Read more]

BTW, I whittled the current list of forums in Believers Category from 14 to 12. I don’t think I can go any further though. 12 is a good number. 🙂

I personally cannot see how the current two widgets do not show the active threads list.

It shows the lastest comments, and the above widget shows the 3 latest topics.

Merging them would present the same information would it not?

Further, you can also see who is online at the moment.

What was the difference again?

Sorry I know you told me in…[Read more]

Who is identified as THE Eternal Life in 1 John 1?

A quick glance of the verse looks like it is speaking of Yeshua before the foundation of the world.

As usual, I would need to dig in and take a look at the verse though.

God gives eternal life, so if he begat another to have eternal life, then he could well be described in those terms.

Eternal…[Read more]

Not sure what Merca is. I know that viruses mutate, but they stay viruses however.

Noah took one pair of each kind. So a pair of cats could in time produce all the cat species we see today. But they stay cats no matter what.

No one has proof of one kind changing into another kind. Just some fossils that they connect with their imaginations.

Thanks for the feedback so far.

I have made some changes which even I thought needed to be made eventually.

This forum suffered from being on a different platform and was structured for its features.

So I have flattened the forum hierarchy to make it easier to follow.

It now looks like this:

Here’s a topic reg the front page active threads widget.

https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/list-only-most-recently-active-threads/

Actually I have read this already. But I will take another look and possibly try implementing. It doesn’t look hard to do.

Will let you know if and when it is done.

🙂

Looking at other boards with around the same amount of posts as this, they have lots of forums too.

I think you cannot really avoid it because the topics will have a wider range of subjects.

🙂
