I believe that the Spirit of God is not the Spirit of Jesus, but that by the spirit they are one.
Likewise, we can be one in spirit with the Body of Christ and one with God and his son.
Our spirits even bear witness with God’s spirit that we are sons of God.
Unity in spirit.
To understand spirit, think of water. Spirit is life and the River…[Read more]

what I condemn is when reason is used to translate or determine the meaning of Scripture
Oh yeah is that right?
Why do you not believe that there is one true God the Father and another who is his son whom he sent into the world.
The reason you do not believe it is because you reason it with your doctrines and traditions that you have been…[Read more]

It would make no difference from our point if view if we went to be with Jesus immediately or if we slept and awoke to be with him. Unless sleeping meant consciousness, then we would die and the next thing we know would be us with Christ, except time would have passed by in the meantime. I am open to either view.
It is written that the dead in…[Read more]

Without the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ the son of God, there would be no salvation for sinful man.
Salvation does not mean we ignore the commandments though. Repentance is a key factor in obtaining and keeping salvation.
Further, Jesus lived when the Law was present. After his death, a new covenant written with his blood was…[Read more]

agreed – only Christ is one with the Father..
How many times will it take for you to realise that your predefined man-made doctrine makes you teach false doctrine and err in a myriad of ways. And how many scriptures will it take before you realise that scripture actually rebukes and corrects you time and time again. You lack u…[Read more]

1 Corinthians 15:54-57
54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”

I thought the entire point was somehow Jesus stopped the reign of death but the scripture you chose say that death did not reign after Moses
Good question. I think it is referring to the Law of Moses though, which was still in effect when Jesus came among us.
So Adam brought in sin and death, and Moses brought in the Law which imputed sin,…[Read more]

Jesus took punishment upon himself so we could be spared that punishment. He received stripes so we could be spared them.
Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.1 Peter 2:24

Romans 5:12-15
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned–
13 for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness…[Read more]- Load More
