What if any are the main scriptures used for ‘original sin’ being passed down from Adam?
Is it this?
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

If God had wished he could have made Jesus’ body with just 23 chromosomes (just from Mary). We don’t know how Jesus’ body was made. That is why i advice to stick to the text without making assumptions (like using words like ‘fathered’) by extrapolating using our knowledge about the physical world when it comes to the power of God. It was a similar…

So Jesus returned in 70 AD fulfilling all prophecies in scripture regarding his second coming, but he came invisibly starting a new age. But this age will also end, but with no signs at all. He will come as a thief and no one not even Believers will be expecting him.
Is that it?

I think he is trying to make out that the scriptures are unreliable. If he believes that Jesus Christ did not die for his sins, then the only conclusion to draw is he is still in sin. He needs to repent and turn to the messiah for the forgiveness of sins. God sent his son into the world to die for our sins. Jesus is the Lamb of God that was slain,…[Read more]

THE NEW AGE WILL FOLLOW THIS ONE ,but no one knows when that will be yet

Okay. So are we still in this age or are we in a new age?

The accused carried their own cross to their crucifixion. The accepted view is that Jesus started to carry the cross but couldn’t bear it after a while due to injuries he had sustained earlier. So Simon of Cyrene was drafted to carry the cross the rest of the way.
It is not a contradiction for example if I drove a car and someone else drove the…[Read more]

The Holy Spirit is a spirit, but is the Father also a spirit?
Well we know that the Father is God and God is spirit. The Father is the Father of all spirits and life. The Father is also the father of our Lord

I agree. But the word ‘fathered’ has other meanings. I can’t think of a better word to use in the opening post though.

As for the Holy Spirit, my belief is that God is holy and God is spirit. Thus he can legitimately be described as a Holy Spirit and more accurately as the Holy Spirit and not just one of many.
1 Peter 1:16
for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”John 4:24
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic Basic logic in the forum Truth or Tradition 11 years, 1 month ago
Good stuff wilsunphi. I then just need a word that describes the Holy Spirit as replacing a natural father in the conception of the messiah. I chose fathered, but as you point out it can mean a number of things.

I agree that he is sitting at the right-hand of God in Heaven, but are you also saying that he has already come in the clouds?

So Millennium hasn’t begun, but Christ has returned?

Hi wilsunphi.
Yes I can see your point about the word fathered, because to father someone can mean to treat with the protective care associated with a father or assign the paternity of a child. (http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/father)
Do you have a suggestion as to what word I could use?
The angel answered, “The Holy Sp…[Read more]
