lol. I trust in my own understanding because I repeat scripture word for word and rebuke you guys when you say the opposite. It feels like listening to those scientists like Krauss a theoretical physicist who foolishly implied that the universe arose from nothing.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Can you guys not see that y…[Read more]

Hi t8,
How can you follow what you do not recognise happening in the life of the Messiah?
Why does it frustrate you that I believe and hold to the scriptures I have quoted, rather than be swayed by your reasoning instead?
Let’s for argument sake you did sway me away from believing those scriptures. What reward do you expect to receive from…[Read more]

Jesus wasn’t the Savior until after he died and was resurrected – Kerwin
for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord – an Angel of God.
Another attempt to draw the opposite conclusion. I trust that angel’s message over yours Kerwin any day of the week.

But Jesus was born the son of God. So are you saying that he was or had the Holy Spirit when he was born as the son of God?
Luke 1:35
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.Proclaimer replied to the topic Isaiah 41:18 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 10 years, 6 months ago
Yes, our life comes from God’s Spirit and through his son Jesus Christ. A river of life proceeds from the throne of God where Jesus Christ is seated next to his Father. He invites us to drink and we will never thirst again.
John 4:14
but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic Acts 1:6-8 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 10 years, 6 months ago
Google gives a slightly different account of the kms from the source I drew them from. I have updated them to reflect Google’s figures.

That is rebirth not birth.
Jesus was born the messiah. Not reborn the messiah.
Where does it say he was reborn the messiah? I would like to take a look at that.

Your take is different to the scriptures Nick. That is an issue that needs addressing.
Spiritual discernment doesn’t render any scripture with an opposite meaning. The word for that is ‘error’.
Sometimes we need to change our understanding, especially when it violates scripture and the message of God.

We can talk about the picture and the figures
Yes, I think you can talk about that too as it would be within the topic.

You can talk about what the uttermost part of the world means. You could for argument sake say that it just means the furthest reaches from Jerusalem that may not be just one place. You could debate the merits of which place is the furthest. Perhaps you could make reference to the gospel in New Zealand or Tahiti. Or maybe debate whether this…[Read more]

But it says:
for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Then you say:
so he was not already Lord and Christ when born.
You declare the very opposite. Your message is the anti-message.

A spiritual understanding of a biblical verse does not render the opposite meaning. This:
for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord – an Angel of God.
does not become this when spiritually discerned.
Of course Jesus was made both Lord and Christ so was not conceived or born as such. – Nick
