Hi Mike. A small thing to note. Back in the day when the Flat Earth was mainstream, people mapped and looked at the stars way more than we do today. They had all kinds of reasons for doing so such as using the stars as a calendar. There was this weird thing though. Some stars wandered about the firmament in a random manner sometimes changing…[Read more]

To be fair Nick, Antarctica does have an ice wall. We often see footage of it when ice breaks off. You might remember the giant icebergs that floated into New Zealand territory. Even they had ice walls. Let’s face it, if the Antarctica didn’t have an ice wall, then it would be eroding away. Thin ice just above the water wouldn’t last very long.…[Read more]

You know what? In that photo I took of Superstition Mountain from 55 miles away, virtually all of the picture is the empty field right in front of me… which is nowhere close to even a hundredth of the 55 miles. So I think that happened with you. The coastline/water directly in front of you when you took the photo filled up most of the photo –…

Gene, I am seeing a different side of you. Hard to believe it is the same guy. I’m impressed a bit. Lol.

10 Things That Would Happen If The Earth Was FLAT
One of the points mentioned is we would see different sides of the moon if the Earth was flat. That is, I see this face and the other side of the flat earth would see a different side of the moon. But the reality is, we always see the same side. Not possible in a flat…[Read more]

I took this video of the moon on 4 Dec 2017.
My question is this, if the moon looks like that, why can’t the Earth look a similar shape from the moon?

The video above pointed me to this website for the calculation. See the video about this calculation method if you have any questions.
https://www.metabunk.org/curve/
I ran the stats through this site to see the result, but I don’t understand how to use it and haven’t got time to focus on it and learn what it all means.
Can someone tell me how…[Read more]

Mike, while you offer some videos as proof of a flat Earth, I can post videos as proof of a spherical Earth.
Proclaimer replied to the topic Mikeboll's belief in a flat world in the forum View Points 8 years, 4 months ago
This is not absolute proof Mike, because this can be faked. But ask yourself why fake this?
And these tests could easily be replicated by Flat Earthers. This would be the perfect video to debunk for them, surely.Proclaimer replied to the topic Mikeboll's belief in a flat world in the forum View Points 8 years, 4 months ago
Which piece of evidence can you personally verify? Just list one.
I can neither prove the Earth is a sphere or a flat disc on my own. What I do have like everyone else is the weight of indirect evidence.
I posted a couple of videos showing the Antarctica and a base there. I posted some personal photos of the Antarctic Centre and Airport wing in…[Read more]

Nick, to be fair, science is disproven by science all the time.

It’s a 150M wall according to Trump.

T8, with the information you gave me, the mountain in the distance should have 1723 meters hidden by curvature.
Hi Mike.
Maybe I have produced irrefutable evidence against the ball earth, but that doesn’t worry me because I care only for the truth. But my gut instinct or reaction to brainwashing if it is that is to say the math must be wrong.…[Read more]

Hey T8, I put Mt Ruapehu and Paekakariki Hill into Google World. It shows 127 miles distance, but looks like it is all over land, whereas your photo looks to be over sea. Do you have the locations right? Just double checking.
Good question Mike.
When I took the pic, I assumed it was Mount Taranaki which is a volcano further east. Here is a…[Read more]

Mike, if from the perspective of the viewer the sun was hovering just above the horizon and the moon much higher than the horizon, then why couldn’t the shadow be different if the sun was higher on the horizon and the moon lower? When lunar eclipses happen, I assume, (I’m no expert) that the sun and moon could be postioned differently and it is…[Read more]

T8, were you seriously only 248 meters high when you took that photo? Because if so, this is big.
Yes Mike, I was 248 metres high according to this google search. I was standing at an official lookout that has a recorded height of 248 metres. Next time I pass by here I will photograph the plaque if there is one. They usually tell you the…[Read more]

I know that things can look bigger on the horizon because of the way light is reflected through moisture or something like that. I have on a few occasions seen things appear bigger when looking in the direction the photo was taken. The low-rise on the peninsula once looked like it had high rise apartments. I boiled it down to moisture in the air…[Read more]

Another quick point. Imagine the circumference of an eternal circle. It would be a straight line right? So a really big circle would also appear as a straight line too. Compared to us, the Earth is a very big circle or sphere. So that at least supports the idea of a spherical Earth right? It’s not like that is counterintuitive or not logical. Not…[Read more]

Okay, Mike. I found a photo (not mine) that is a similar projection to my photo except it is taken up close and shows the lower flanks of Mt Ruapehu clearly.

I have attached my image so you can download it and zoom in on it and make a decent comparison.
IMO, my photo doesn’t show the very lowest part of the mountain. The above photo…[Read more]

Here is the world record holder for distance photography. The peak in the center is 2.7 Km tall, and 392 Km away. We’re not told the height of the photographer, but if he took the photo from ground level, we’d be talking about 12 Km of curvature that should be hiding the 2.7 Km tall mountain. And even if he took it from the very top of the mo…
