Hi proclaimer, I agree that the Bible was written by ancient non-scientific people. I don’t think it’s a scientific or historical book as many fundamentalist Christians believe here. You are forgetting that the Old Testament is the basic primary source for the Christian New testament.
Another failure gadam because the Bible doesn’t teach a fla…[Read more]

Hi Danny, it is good to know that you are not full pledged Trinitarian so far. In the Hebrew Bible ‘son of God’ never meant a literal divine being as imagined by the NT writers. Israel was called the first born son of God as per Ex 4:22 and King David’s son called ‘son of God’ as per 2 Sam 7:14 but they never meant as literal sons of God as misint…

While atheists lack a belief in God, everyone including atheists have the burden of proof or evidence as both atheism and theism are beliefs.
One believes there is a God and the other believes there is no

The NT writers were all Hellenistic polytheist believing Christians. What can we expect from these writers than a mystifying Jesus the supposed Messiah as divine being who preexisting before his human existence.
You lose credibility every time you make an ignorant statement like that.

This is the problem with the NT and Christianity. It revolves round and round the mulberry bush without coming out clearly that Jesus is God or man. I can see this on all threads of this Forum. You want to ‘kill the snake and also not want to break the stick’ an old saying in India.
Its real simple gadam. People read a book written in Greek, Heb…[Read more]

Hi Proclaimer,
I still have a hard time to understand the begotten aspect of Jesus.
We both believe that Jesus shares the exact same nature as His Father.
Because He is His only begotten Son.
Well then how can we consider Him to be a lesser god?
Do you have a child, Proclaimer?
If so, then can you honestly say that your child is a lesser human…Proclaimer replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 4 years, 10 months ago
Gene, was “The Word of the King” in ancient Abyssinia a person or not?
Great question. Did he answer it?

Hi Proclaimer
That means he is not the Son of YHWH then.
Does it sound like denial of the Son?
Neither Proclaimer.Okay, so he is not the son of YHWH according to you.
It’s good to establish some basic foundations of what you believe in order to answer you.

If the Jews and their interpretation of scripture is always correct gadam, then the earth is flat. Lol.

Hi Adam,
You: It’s quite interesting to see that a non-trinitarians can say Amen to a Trinitarian’s post.
Me: I’m not a Trinitarian.
I haven’t made up my mind yet. I’m still learning. All I’m sure of and what I believe is that Yahweh is the Most High God.

The Son of Man Must Be Lifted Up
27 “Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But for this purpose I have come to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name.” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.” 29 The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered.…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic Preexistence in the forum Truth or Tradition 4 years, 10 months ago
The son of “man”, Jesus was not and is not, the God that was “IN” him.
Correct.
Now that this is sorted, focus on the Word.
The Word was with God, was divine, became flesh, and was beheld as the Son of God for our eyes to see and ears to hear.
He was with God in the beginning, emptied himself, came in the flesh, was obedient to God, died, r…[Read more]

“We next notice John’s use of the article in these sentences. He does not write without care in this respect, nor is he unfamiliar with the niceties of the Greek tongue. Gene, you are unable to grasp that there are many theos, but for US, there is one theos the Father.
But I will explain it for the readers.
Theos like Adam is a person but can also be used to describe nature.
For example, Eve is adam (mankind) but she is not Adam (the person).
So the Word is theos (divine nature) but is not God the…[Read more]

The woman said, “I know that Messiah” ( called Christ) “is coming. When He comes, He will explain everything to us.” Jesus answered, “I who speak to you am He.”
People had an understanding of things about the messiah.
Not all things are in the Old Testament. But let’s look at what is there. We can agree it talks about a messiah.
