So what.
Matthew didn’t write about every prophetic fulfilment.
Why does he have too.
I found this table of fulfilled prophecies. I have read them all so I cannot verify how accurate this is. But I can see Matthew spoke about some, but not all. Again, big deal. Why does he have to?

But I am not agreeing with your logics of the so called ‘first Law then Grace’. It was purely the interpretation of Paul then by his followers. Grace is always there in the Torah and the Hebrew Bible and is not a new invention or secret revelation by the NT writers. Please read the following;
The law condemns you gadam.
Up to you.

There are many antichrists.
One sign is antichrists deny Jesus is the Son of God, a core tenant of Islam.
Islam based itself on Jewish and Christian scriptures. Probably in an attempt to gain legitimacy among the people.
But it introduced lethal doctrines and then forced this through preaching and violence.
Imagine the tribulations that…[Read more]

Hi Brother Gene thanks for your reply. But I don’t agree with your interpretation on “this generation” as a particular generation because Jesus was referring to the generation whom he was talking. Gospel preaching to the ends of the earth again a speculation of Matthew’s writer as this saying is tied to “truly I tell you, you will not have go…

As I quoted earlier there was no such concept of dying Messiah at the time of Jesus which is clearly visible in the earliest traces of the NT. Please take the example of Peter’s negative statement on Jesus’ death (on the cross) and the disciples’ ignorance on the scriptures supporting dying Messiah in Luke 24.
So what. I understand today there…[Read more]

1. He will be King over united Kingdom of Israel
2.Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28).
3. Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6).
4. Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease. As it says: “Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore.” (Is…Proclaimer replied to the topic Was Jesus Jewish Messiah – What does the Hebrew Bible really say? in the forum Doctrinal Disagreements 5 years, 1 month ago
It also makes perfect sense that if God used the nation of Israel and then sent his messiah into the world, then both would have similar descriptions in that the world generally hates God, so would get roughly the same treatment.
Isaiah 53 doesn’t rule out Jesus. It supports him.
It is amazing how close it resembles his life.

Lol. Saying this doesn’t fit with Jesus is a joke.
If it quacks it’s a duck.
Of course not proof on its own, but certainly sounds like Jesus more than any other entity on planet earth in recorded history.
Your not very convincing gadam.
Just saying.

Why call him Messiah if he was not satisfying the conditions for Hebrew Messiah?
What’s the no1 thing that he didnt fulfill that comes to your mind?

Sorry to comment on your post above. The above verses quoted by you are the opinions of the NT writers and are most religious. I was discussing on the historical investigations on the concept of Messiah in the Hebrew Bible. It is nothing to do with spiritual beliefs and convictions here. Hope you will understand my posts.

We arecaearebthat there are all manner of excuses for rejecting the messiah. God gave us the freedom to choose him. This also includes the freedom to reject him.
Your excuse is Jesus doesnt fit your idea of the messiah as portrayed in the OT.
I guess you are expecting a king of Israel. These things take time. First things first. The sacrificial…[Read more]

Hi Proclaimer, I too know the statement but the historians don’t believe what you and I believe and they are neutral people. So they see the religious stories as myths if they are not able to prove them as per historical methods.
At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank Thee, O Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, because Thou hast hid thes…[Read more]

Yes, I disagreed with that statement too. I don’t believe for one minute you hate Jews.

…As we begin with the passage which from early times has been regarded as the oldest Messianic prophecy, namely Gen. 3: 15, which refers to the offspring of the woman, who will bruise the serpent’s head with his heel. It is now generally admitted by those who adopt the historical approach to theology that there is no allusion here to the Devil or…

Personally speaking gadam, I do not read long posts.
I read posts that make a point and will often reply.
Long posts are hard to deal with because to debunk each point takes forever.
So I usually read till I come across what I think is the first error and then debate that one error.
I will do this now.

I don’t need to watch a whole video on this. It’s simple to grasp. The OT sacrificial lamb points to the Lamb of God.
A classic case of NT fulfilling OT.

Hi Proclaimer, thanks for sharing on the topic Satan. But I can not agree with you on Satan as a ‘chief being who opposes God’ as claimed by you. In the Hebrew Bible, śaṭan was never used as a proper name and served merely as a term to identify an adversary.
Its quite simple and logical when you think about it. There are many satans. But there…[Read more]

In that case, the evolution of Satan is done for me. I haven’t learned anything from this topic.
Satan is the adversary of God.
satan is adversary.I knew that before this discussion.
