Taken from https://www.heavennet.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=1&topic=30Yes that is interesting about Paradise. Some believe that Paradise was the place where the righteous dead were placed before the ressurrection of the dead and I tend to agree with this. However there is also the idea that when Jesus died, the dead in Christ were…[Read more]

I do not think that Hell is forever like Heaven. Hell is actually thrown into the Lake of Fire in the Judgement. It all depends on whether the Lake of Fire will exist for all time even in the new Heavens and New Earth, or whether the reminder (the smoke of the torment) is forever. Another interesting debate, but it is not related to this particular…[Read more]
Proclaimer replied to the topic Did you know that Sunday worship is a mark of the beast? in the forum Truth or Tradition 22 years, 10 months ago
Worshipping God should be done regularly on Sunday and any day. We can worship God in many ways. Singing, giving thanks etc. There is no set time to worship, for the Father seeks those who will worship him in Spirit and Truth. He is not seeking those who will worship him on a particular day only, but those that will worship him for who he is and…[Read more]

How do you know that I do not call God by his name? Also I would ask that you back up your statements with scripture. Where is "call; Me with My Name" for example.I am not denying that it is there, I just want to know where it is, so I can read it in context.thx

Come on I am being serious.I also asked if you could back up your answer with scripture. If we can have more than 1 wife, then that would leave people with no wife at all.

But if a man has salvation and turns his back on God, (openly denies him) then does God go against that persons free will? The Angels were perfect and some rebelled against him and they got what they chose. The same for men who have tasted of the age to come and turn away. We do not lose salvation due to sin, because we who are saved have a…[Read more]

1 Timothy 2:4who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. So God's will is that all should be saved. So if this is his will, then surely he can make it possible for all of us to chose him, even though we are ruled by our human nature.John 16:8″And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness…[Read more]

Ýes I think that is worth finding out about. George Bush is still called George Bush in Germany. Names are sometimes transliterated rather than translated. Transliteration represents (letters or words) in the corresponding characters of another alphabet. E.g Joshua is the the transliteration of Yeshua, the J sound is pronounced as a Y.trans- +…[Read more]

Are we not free to worship on any day of the week at anytime. Why can't we worship on Sunday?Romans 14:5 One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.Colossians 2:16-1716 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to…[Read more]

This post was started in response to a point raised by MrBob in another post, who suggested that the Dead in Christ are asleep and awaiting to be raised up on the last day. He suggests that they are not in heaven, at least not yet. The dead are sleeping, in a state of no consciousness. I am open to this being the case, but the Book of Matthew…[Read more]

To MrBob,This is an interesting subject and I have decided to start a new post relating to your post. I would be happy to discover the truth regarding this matter and how Matthew 27:51-53 fits into this picture.51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. 52 The tombs broke…[Read more]

I have been asked on ocassion, questions regarding divorce and remarriage. I am interested in a discussion in order to search out the truths of this matter.I will pose a scenario that must have an answer, yet is not easily identifiable from scripture. I have an answer in my mind and will debate this, but I need to test it out to see if it is so. I…[Read more]

Constantine certainly did change a lot of things. I suppose that the real blame goes to the believers who let him take authority over them, when it is Christ who should have that authority.

Iyyob,Didn't Yashua speak Aramaic. If so was he called by his Hebrew name or did he have an Aramiac version? I believe that the name Joshua in English is a transliteration of the Hebrew Yashua as the 'J' should be pronounced as a 'Y'.I realise that Jesus is the Greek form of the name Yahshua, but perhaps that is understandable given that the N…[Read more]

About the Mars thing. I suppose that it is possible that our bodies could be made from materials from other parts of the Universe, but our bodies are not who we really are. Hi Dane,It is true that we cannot know about God except when he reveals himself to us as the following scriptures show:1 Corinthians 2:11For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2:14The man without the Spirit does not…[Read more]

Does anyone else agree that the Logos means the Plan?I think that the Word is a person and the Word was divine. In other words the Word had the nature of God and then he emptied himself of that nature to partake of the human nature and was given it back when he was raised from the dead. I saw on a Forum once where people were debating the word…[Read more]

It is by God's grace that we are saved. The Law is the mark which we should live in order to live a righteous life. But we humans have all sinned and fallen short of that mark. So the Messiah came to us under the Law to become a sacrifice for our sins under that law, in order to fulfill the laws required punishment for us, namely death. He set us…[Read more]
