I knew that you would say this, no surprises here.If I believe that wisdom in God was given birth as the first of God works, then I do that knowing that I am quoting scripture. Also as far as I know 'prudence' wasn't given birth or begotten and therefore is spoken of as an attribute. But wisdom is spoken of as an attribute and then it changes once…[Read more]

Quote (DORA @ Jan. 18 2005,01:07)for example, in the creation account of Adam you find that God formed the body & breathed into it & Adam “became” a living soul or spirit man, thus, this indicates clearly that the body & spirit as a whole = the soulMy understanding is as follows:Hebrews 4:12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than…[Read more]

Quote (Adam Pastor @ Jan. 13 2005,09:09)To be conceived & to be begotten is scripturally, exactly the very same thing!Proverbs 8:22-30 22 “The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works, { Or ; or } { Or ; or } before his deeds of old; 23 I was appointed from eternity, from the beginning, before the world began. 24 When there were no oceans,…[Read more]

Logos can mean word, utterence, thought, reason, expression etc.The point is that this Logos was WITH GOD in the beginning. Not in God, or not even God himself. But with God.John 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was god. Do not be surprised that we are all the thoughts of God. We were not created without…[Read more]

Jesus was saying that he was before Abraham. It is correct, that he wasn't saying he was the 'I AM' of the OT.The question that was asked him was as follows:John 8:57“You are not yet fifty years old,” the Jews said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!” Jesus was reply was as follows:John 8:58″I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham…[Read more]

To DORA,This is a good place to discuss this. I have copied this from the Trinity discussion.Quote (DORA @ Jan. 15 2005,14:48)THIS DOESNT MEAN THE SON WAS WITH GOD IN THE BEGINNING…IT MEANS HE WAS THE PURPOSE FOR CREATION…THAT PURPOSE WAS SPOKEN BY GOD ON DAY ONE OF CREATION, “LET THERE BE LIGHT”…THE LIGHT IS THE SON, BUT THAT ISNT WHEN THE…[Read more]

Hi WIT, I have a post for you on the previous page too.Quote (WhatIsTrue @ Jan. 07 2005,17:21)Let me clarify one thing. I did NOT mean to suggest that Yahweh would come down in a physical body and stand on the Mount of Olives when I was discussing the Zechariah passage. I assumed that we all agreed that Yahweh is not a physical being. All re…[Read more]

Quote (WhatIsTrue @ Jan. 07 2005,17:21)Nice job. However, even if we assume that these passages are talking about a pre-existent Son, this still falls short of proving the validity of the scriptural tool that Nick is using. These passages would only imply that Yahweh made all things through His son, not that He does all things through His son. …[Read more]

True Human,My take is that grace is greater than Law. Law is God's standard yes, but that can be superceeded by grace. Therefore are we thankful for the Law that condemns us or grace that forgives us?I know where my vote lies and as Paul said himself, the greater the sinner the more reason to give thanx. Thanks be to God who cares for us and saved…[Read more]

Quote (Caroline @ Jan. 07 2005,10:38)Surely it is the person who matters. A rose by any other name etc.I think that by getting hung up on a name we run the risk of concentrating on the letter of the law, as the Pharisees did, rather than the spirit of the law, which Jesus taught us was the only important thing. God hears your meaning when yo…[Read more]

So is Yahweh a real name?Is Yehshua derived from Yahweh?I have read some writings on this subject but everyone seems to have a different opinion and all seem to think they are right. This doesn't stop me from seeking though.

To WIT,Quote (WhatIsTrue @ Jan. 05 2005,17:49)Firstly, he created it, and secondly he has been given all authority over heaven and earth by the Father. Even though I was aware of it, it has just struck me more deeply that the last enemy being destroyed and the resurrection of believers seem intertwined.1 Corinthians 15:26The last enemy to be destroyed is death.Hebrews 1:13To which of the angels did God ever say, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet” Also see…[Read more]

God wants to dwell in all of his creation, but he cannot dwell in sinful vessels. But the plan of God is to put all things under the feet of his son and then when all enemies have been conquered, the son will give back the kingdom to his Father, so that God can dwell in all. So to say that the Spirit has been withdrawn is to truly not understand…[Read more]

It amazes me that men cannot accept that Jesus is the Christ and the son of God. Man has to change the truth of God for the lies of men. What's the point? What benefit is there in believing in lies? The truth about who Jesus/Yeshua seems to be under the severest of attacks. But the truth as delivered by Christ and his disciples was simple and…[Read more]
