I am sorry I think most of the posts have already deviated from the topic. I was just replying to Mike on resurrection and afterlife. It’s good to remind.
No problem.
I just thought you might want it in a more topical discussion as it would get more views because people will search for stuff based on the topic’s title.
Diverging is fine, but t…[Read more]

Good question.
It always amazed me that the virus came from Wuhan and there was a Virology Lab called Wuhan and you weren’t allowed to connect the dots because that was racist.
Such stupidity in the world these days.

Hi gadam.
Is that relevant to John 1:1?

No eternal life will certainly be the case for some people.

On day 1, God created the earth with the sole intent that it would be inhabited by his crowning jewel of creation: mankind. On day 4, God created the sun as one of many lights that He placed in the firmament.
There are two options that you are not considering. Planets wander through the universe and then get caught up in gravitational fields.…[Read more]

God is spirit. When he works in the material, he often uses others who are composed of material.
In the case of the divine Word that was with him in the beginning, it makes sense that there is an intermediatory between God and his material creation.
If God is love, then love requires someone to love. It is because of love that anyone exists and…[Read more]

Gene, much of what you say in your last post is correct IMO. But your application of it misses the mark.

Adam: First you convince your Christian brothers and sisters here, on your so called convictions. Then I will understand your convictions are reasonable and based on truth.
You will never arrive at the truth with such demands.
Imagine if you ask the same question of the Pharisees and teachers of the law.
Personally I find Mike to be pretty spot…[Read more]

Does God have essence or IS God essence? Can you answer that?
God shares his divine nature with his Sons, so divinity doesn’t make you God himself.
Likewise, He us the Father of Spirita, thus being a spirit doesn’t make you God
God is God because he is eternal And in the context if Sons, God is the Father.
Jesus Christ on the otherhand is…[Read more]

Eve is adam / man (mankind).
Eve is not Adam.
The Word was divine / theos.
The Word is not The God / The Theos.
Nature or essence is not the identity or person.
If divinity is the person of God, then yes the Word is God himself and so are all those who participate in that nature.
Once again. Confusion over nature vs identity.
The Trinity…[Read more]

If so, then the essence in God is the same in age as the essence in His Son.
Further, if we are born from above and participate in divine nature, then we too are eternal and as old ass God?
See how easy it is to debunk false teaching?

See it is true. The Trinity / Binity treat God as a substance or essense.
But God is a person / identity.
As I said earlier, “God has divine nature, but many teach divine nature has God” and you have proved my point.
The Father is God.
The Son is a son of God.

Jesus Christ is the Word of God. The Word was divine. Although he existed in the form of God, he emptied himself, came in flesh, lived as one of us, died for our sin, rose from the dead, and is in the glory he had with the Father before the world began. In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was divine.

Adam: Yes he will not be an old man as you rightly pointed out but he will certainly be a warrior prince. It will be an end time Messianic kingdom where the Israelites will live there forever with their children and grandchildren and David will be their prince forever. I think this is possible with resurrection beliefs in the Hebrew religion. It…
