Quote (Eliyah @ Feb. 06 2006,08:44)Well either put up the scriptures to disprove the scriptures that i only write or please shut up calling me names in your arrogance. Was the Apostle Paul a nutter too as he wrote those words in ( 1 Cor.15:44-54)?

Quote (Eliyah @ Feb. 06 2006,08:31)I will give you $ 1000 dollars if you can find these two words connected together of immortal soul written in the scriptures?I never said that those words existed together in scripture.I said the following:”I speculate that if a man has eternal life then his soul exists eternally.” I also said that “man began…[Read more]

Quote (Eliyah @ Feb. 06 2006,08:06)Thou shalt neither add to the word, nor take away from the words of this book. Who said that?
I am not sure what your point is, but I will play along in case you genuinely want to be helpful.John penned the words. The revelation came from God himself, through Christ, to the angel, to John. Now for your point…Proclaimer replied to the topic The soul in the forum Scriptural Teachings 20 years, 8 months ago
John said that about the Book of Revelation. But he didn't say that we could not speculate, read part of the book, or put events together in the book to gain understanding. He said that you shouldn't add or take away from the words in the book. No one is doing that here I hope.Eliyah, the point of this Forum is to discuss, speculate, teach, and…[Read more]

I speculate that if a man has eternal life then his soul exists eternally. After all God saves our souls. It is also written that man began to die when he partook of the Tree of Good and Evil. Before that I suppose that man had eternal life.

First off I would say that it is the spirit that gives life, not the soul. I speculate that animals do not have an eternal soul like man. When I say eternal I mean that man has the chance to live forever. But God will destroy the wicked so not all men will live forever. In that case those men are like the animals. They live and then life is taken…[Read more]

Quote (Is 1:18 @ Feb. 06 2006,04:42)I suppose I could have said ” Im off to a building where I will be worshipping Almightly God in fellowship with other Judeo-Christian believers” but since thats a real mouthful and the term “church” neatly encapsulates this concept, and in general people know what I mean when I use it, I choose to use it. Quote (Is 1:18 @ Feb. 06 2006,04:15)Now now t8, no need to be like that….if you feel persecuted by me because I actually challenge some of your unscriptural teachings then I think you just need to harden up a bit. Quote (david @ Feb. 06 2006,02:02)Ecclesiastes 3:18-22 shows that man dies in the same manner as the beasts, for “they all have but one spirit , so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast,” that is, as to the life-force common to both. This being so, it is clear that the “spirit,” or life-force (ru´ach), as used in this sense is…[Read more]

You believe that david, because your denomination taught you that. Therefore you follow man, particularly the leaders of your denomination. You may not realise it, but you are inside Babylon. I quote the following from another website:Differences in Bible translations are generally not a problem for readers because the Holy Spirit can impress hearts with any of them, yet the closer we come to the original manuscripts, the better we can know the intent of that Spirit who inspired the writers. The New King James Version (following the…[Read more]

I totally agree seekingtruth.May God be with you and lead you.Yes the scriptures are there to teach and to show when we err. But it is the Spirit that teaches us what it means.
