Quote (heiscomingintheclouds @ June 15 2006,20:35)How many of you belong to a spirit filled church. If you are spirit-filled, then you are the Church. You don't belong to it, you are already part of it by reason of the indwelling of God's Spirit.I think you are referring to a denomination which is different to the meaning of Church. No Spirit, no…

Quote (heiscomingintheclouds @ June 15 2006,20:15)Guess what fellas. I believe the trinity doctrine is unsound and can prove it using the King James bible. So if the King James bible is bias in support of the trinity doctrine, how is it I can debunk the trinity doctrine using the KJ?Because it isn't a perfect bias. That is the point. It is not a…[Read more]

Quote (heiscomingintheclouds @ June 15 2006,19:38)Dear t8,You are asking me. Ask God. Who better to ask about his word then the true author. If you truly go to God with a sincere heart he will answer you. This is the entire problem. Men following men. Follow God. Everything in my life has come by one of two ways. My way or God's way. I was married…[Read more]

The great apostacy is the falling away. Falling away from what. The truth? What else? The falling away of truth. The falling away from the WAY. The WAY is truth. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life”.There have been many factors that have caused this falling away, not least because the hearts of men are accepting of certain things that…[Read more]

Quote (heiscomingintheclouds @ June 15 2006,18:28)Apostasy was the result of the corruption of God's word. This resulted in many bible translations which in turn resulted in all the many diverse religions. What a clever plan by the enemy to steal the souls of men. Confusion.Hi heiscomingintheclouds, Where is the proof that the KJV is the only…[Read more]

Rebuke has its place. Look it up in scripture. Regarding false teachers we are told to not let such people even into our homes.Turning the other cheek is what we do when we are persecuted by the world. I am afraid that those who teach and preach falsely are to be rebuked if they persist.BTW, there is a big difference between believing something…[Read more]

Hi Nick, I am not sure at this stage regarding angels/demons. But I guess if there is a place in the next age where wicked beings are placed, then it seems that besides God's new Heaven and Earth, there will exist a place of crying and pain. In that scenario the old things do remain and the wicked do in fact have eternal life, albeit an eternity…[Read more]

Revelation 20:13-15 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the…[Read more]

To david,Quote (david @ June 14 2006,19:02)Hi T8. Really, it is only Jesus blood that can save you. To break or go against God's command to “abstain” from blood will not save you in the long run.I have heard a few stories on the news where a JW couples have let their child die because they refused a blood transfusion. If they had a blood…[Read more]

These days people go to the supermarket of doctrines and choose whatever suits them best. There are not that many in my experience that let truth/scripture change them, rather they like to change truth.Men in their carnal nature seem to want to create idols and worship their own works.Perhaps if we were to see the judgement seat of Christ, we would…[Read more]

Welcome rclamb.I haven't read this book. From your rescription it sounds like the author is trying to use words that others are more familiar with. I personally do not have a problem with that, unless it is watering down the doctrine of Christ.

The book of Enoch is a compilation of books like the Bible is a compilation. We cannot say that these books are wrong or not inspired by opinion. If they contradict scripture, then that is good enough to rule them out. I haven't seen a contradiction as yet. But then again, I haven't read these books to any great depth. What I have read seems quite…[Read more]

Personally speaking, I do not consume blood intentionally. Besides it doesn't really seem that appetising to me.But if I was dying and another man's blood could save me, then I wouldn't have a problem with that. After all, if Jesus blood saved me, then I am not adverse to others saving me too.

Oh!There already exists a discussion there entitled “Is there an infallible bible translation?”If we keep the KJV subject there, we won't have to repeat ourselves and it will be easier for others to find.

Quote (heiscomingintheclouds @ June 09 2006,19:42)Until believers go and do an indepth search and follow the path of the church throughout history, how can they claim to know what is a valid translation or invalid translation. Thanks david. There could be a distinction say:Biblical DoctrineCreeds and TraditionsOne would include obvious and clear teachings such as God, salvation, baptisms, judgement etc. The other would be inferred doctrines, like Trinity, infant baptism, or other teachings not specifically mentioned, or words that are not mentioned, but what people…[Read more]

Holy Spirit, baptisms, and the like are revealed in scripture, so they would best be kept in 'Biblical Discussions' anyway. But Nicene Creed, Trinity, Penance, 144,000 doctrine of the JWs etc would fit nicely into 'Creeds and traditions'. Or any doctrine that is inferred so to speak. It wouldn't necessarily just contain false doctrine. There must…[Read more]

True. But on the other hand, it already seems to be very important than perhaps it should be, when compared to other doctrines. Also having them under one roof (so to speak) will likely mean fewer new discussions based on the Trinity. Currently there are quite a few and I suspect that is because topic starters couldn't see the ones that already…[Read more]
