Quote (heiscomingintheclouds @ June 28 2006,18:54)New Age believers talk just like you Nick. You have to have God's word. You have to be born again. Yet, if a man is not baptized in the Holy Spirit, he will not lose his salvation anymore then if he is not baptized by water. Both should be done as to be obedient and to apply the full armor of the…[Read more]

My proof is not beyond reasonable doubt. Convince me that 'The Comma Johanneum' is scripture. I can be convinced with reasonable evidence.Yes I am the student of Nick and also anyone who teaches truth here. I may not agree with everything, but I take in what I believe is truth. In that sense I am a student.

The Comma does not appear until the third edition of Erasmus translation, published in 1522. Its absence in the first two editions provoked considerable animosity, chiefly led by Lopez de Zuniga (also written Stunica) who had been one of the Complutensian editors. Erasmus replied that the Comma did not occur in any of the Greek manuscripts he…[Read more]

Because it doesn't gel with your so-called revelation, you therefore conclude that it cannot be true from your understanding. You should at least be open enough to truth outside your limited experience and provide something to rebuff this accusation regarding that verse. Otherwise your judgement in this case is worthless. It is better to remain…[Read more]

Yes I believe it is an addition and not part of the text.

You said that you consider it scripture. But it is well known that it isn't.

The first published Greek NT was edited in 1516 by Catholic priest, scholar, and humanist Erasmus in 1516. This edition did not include the disputed words. A revised edition in 1519 also did not include these words. Erasmus was severely criticised by other Catholic priests for not including in Greek these words which were well-known to them from…[Read more]

Proponents of the KJV as an acid test often say “does your bible have '1 John 5:7'”. If the hearer uses another translation, they realise that it is not included. The argument made is that the other translations are corrupted and that is why they do not include it.However the complete opposite is true. The verse is a known addition and the reason…[Read more]

Thanks Nick.Hi dunno. Like the name
In the 90s I had received many words and knew in my spirit that I should write down what God has put on my heart. I did so in the form of this website back in 1999 I think. It initially contained a section for questions and testimonies which still exist. The forums were added in a little later.Knowing that God…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic The Angel of the LORD in the forum Truth or Tradition 20 years, 3 months ago
Quote (Nick Hassan @ June 24 2006,20:38)Hi t8, So it is a question as to whether the Son of God is a messenger by his role, or of his nature.Mal 3 calls him”The messenger of the covenant”Suggesting it is a role rather than a description of his nature. Angels are messengers of their nature. That is what they do.Hi Nick, He is the Word of God which…[Read more]

Another possible example of messengers not being cherub or seraph is in the following accounts:John 20:12and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.Luke 24:4While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling clothing; Here we have 2 accounts. One…[Read more]

Yes Cubes. The Father is Jesus's God and or God. Although Jesus is not the Most High, he is a divine being. His nature is from God.He did partake of human nature when he came to earth however, and in that sense he was a man.
