This is not aimed at anyone in particular but some thoughts I have had from reading this discussion.I find at least 2 factors in the promotion and survival of false teachings.'Pride' and 'trusting in man'.Pride says, how can a foundational doctrine of my christianity be false?Trusting in man says that we need to set out that which is truth and…[Read more]

I agree seminarian. But why does this deception exists? What benefit does the Devil have by exhalting the son beyond that of the son. Would not an enemy rather put you down than exhalt you beyond your office?I can only conclude that our adversary tried to wipe out true faith by death of it's followers as history shows and when that didn't work, he…[Read more]

I use the BibleGateway website which gives me many translations. This way I can make comparisons and if there is a difference I can go to a concordance which I have at home, or use an online one. http://www.bju.edu/bible/I use online resources most of the time because I can copy and paste scripture into the forum and searching online for a…[Read more]

Yes the very meaning of image means that it has a source. The very meaning of son also means you have a source, (the Father). It's quite amazing that this has been overlooked as it is not hard to grasp. Rather it is easy and even a child understands as they are aware that they have parents. Yet the worldly wise are confounded by the mystery of the…[Read more]

History shows that Greek thinking has had a strong influence on Christianity. Greek thinking demanded that all things fit into 2 categories, i.e., created or uncreated. So according to this type of thinking, Christ was either created or uncreated. This helped immensly in shaping the false doctrine of the Trinity.
Scripture teaches that between…[Read more]

heiscomingintheclouds – alias 'headisinthesand'. Regarding the Johannine Comma that is.1 John 5:7″For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”You haven't given an adequate explanation as to how this corrupt addition made the perfect edition. I am waiting. Till then it is…[Read more]

When you truly seek the truth as some do here, then the devil sends all manor of people to try and divert you from that course. So far I have heard the following:You must believe the KJV is the only valid translation. You must read a bible that uses the Hebrew name for God.You must use the Hebrew words for God and Jesus, otherwise you are using…[Read more]

The first obstacle that I need to see removed before even comtemplating what you say is to have an adequate explantion or proof that 1 John 5:7 is scripture. If you cannot give me an adequate explanation, then I would suggest that you need to rethink your unquestioning faith in the KJV.

Of course. God was in Christ. God is greater.Christ is the full representation of the invisible God. We reflect God in part, but Christ reflects the fullness of God.If we want to know what the invisible God is like, we need look no further than Christ.

Thanks heiscomingintheclouds. But it could also be said that a man with the KJV can create God in the image of the KJV. “These 3 are 1”.However if the word abide in our hearts then we will know truth from error, for the Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. In that way we should be wise and not think that any one translation is perfect.
