Could be MrBob.God might have allowed Satan to do his work.Job 112 The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.” Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD. ……………………..18 While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said, “Your…[Read more]

This is reposted from another discussion but is best suited to this discussion. It was in response to another person saying that Jesus is YHWH. Perhaps we should revisit this idea? The post from the other member and mine are quoted below:Quote Hey t8,I asked you who Psa 102:25 referred to and you wrote Jehov@h. Which is true, it clearly is.…[Read more]

I looked it up and 'O my God' is translated as 'el' not Yahweh. Just pointing that out, I am not saying that isn't talking about Yahweh though. I would like to move this discussion to an already existing one that is appropriate for this subject. Psalm 10224 So I said: “Do not take me away, O my God, in the midst of my days; your years…[Read more]

According to the writer of Hebrews this verse was actually uttered TO the Son BY the Father (vs 6).Do you agree it was?Yes that is how I read it at least. But many of us here are well aware that God used his son in…[Read more]

Such doctrine is…[Read more]

I think that is the point he is making Nick.Hebrews 1:1-21 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he…[Read more]

I have read some posts here, mainly from Cubes in which RR is quoted. Can I just confirm that RR is saying that Joseph is the natural father of Christ, in the sense that Joesph knew his wife (or wife to be) and the result was Jesus. Then somehow Joseph forgot about the union. Did I read this correctly?

Ok no problem.I remind you to always check your doctrine and if a scripture doesn't match your picture/context, then let it challenge your doctrine, rather than adding a few words to make it fit.Being challenged to what we believe can save us from deception. Simple stuff I know, but how many actually do it?

My understanding is that the word 'OR” means that it is one or the other and not necessarily one or both of them. Maybe I missed something here?Anyway the question at hand for Trinitarians:1.) Does our Lord Jesus have a God? Yes/No2.) Does God the Father have a god? Yes/NoA simple yes or no for each question is sufficient.Thx

True that. But if we are serious about being a follower of our messiah, we would surely test ALL things. By giving someone a picture in which to frame all scripture doesn't necessarily test the picture itself. As we are well aware many cults and denominations use the same scriptures to support their differing views. One way to test our own doctrine…[Read more]

I agree Semmy. When people just cut and paste their posts from other websites because they do not understand from that which they are taking, (except to say it supports their view) they run the very real risk of pointing people away from the path of truth and righteousness and therefore will be responsible for their action. It is better for people…[Read more]

To Ramblinrose.I think it wise to take each scripture and read it for what it is. That way the picture starts to build from a foundation based in scripture. If we consider ourselves as students learning truth, then surely this is a good way to learn. But it appears that you want to paint the picture first by pointing people to large writings that…[Read more]

Quote (Ramblinrose @ July 15 2006,18:04)1. “Origins” literally signifies a “going out,” hence a beginning or birth, and thus the verse is saying that the birth of the Messiah has been determined, or appointed, from everlasting. To RR,If origin equals birth, then why is it so hard to accept that Jesus originated in ancient times, not after the scr…[Read more]

Hi OneoftheLordsGenerals.Jesus Christ is the Messiah and the son of God.Jesus has divine nature and he emptied himself of his former glory and came in the flesh. He then returned to God and is seated at his right hand.If God was your father you would believe that Jesus came from God. You should also understand that he is seated at God's right hand…
