As for the Amalekites, without reading it, I can assume that they were killed and this was God's will.If not then forgive me, but I know there are other examples where God commanded the Israelites to slaughter a people, children and all. Here is my take:Human genealogies are like branches on a tree. There is a trunk and there are branches. Now in…[Read more]

It is one thing to listen to a prophet and another to listen to a denomination.I think it isn't wise to promote further division by advocating or offering any denomination.Where do we see such activity in the New Testament? Why then is it the main activity of Christians today?

Quote (WorshippingJesus @ Mar. 14 2007,11:29)God dosnt “have” a Spirit. The Spirit is God because God is a Spirit! For us there is one God the Father.God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. So the Father is WHO God is.Spirit is WHAT God is.

Quote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 13 2007,18:15)Hi W, How many PERSONS in your God?Which PERSON is the father of Jesus?Well some would have us believe that there is 3 persons, and that they are all God. Scripture is quite clear that there is one God the Father, and that he is the Father of Jesus. Jesus is called the son of God for a reason. It seems…[Read more]

I guess it is important to look at what a Mormon does for salvation and compare that to scripture.Kyle in your understanding, do you have salvation? If so, what is it that you have done or accepted that leads you to believe this?I think that would be wise place to start.

True that.People believe in all kinds of trinities. Is one better than another if the bible doesn't teach it?

Quote (kenrch @ Mar. 12 2007,09:04)Clearly This is about FOOD and the annual feast days that went with food, Mosses' law.So this has nothing to do with one man being able to consider one day more sacred than another; another man considering every day alike and each being fully convinced in his own mind what he has chosen?

Quote (david @ Mar. 09 2007,05:20)So JW's are true believers. Now that that's settled….Surely that couldn't be a true statement david. In any group such as Catholics, Protestants, Baptists, JWs, whatever; you couldn't expect that 100% of their members are true believers. But you would expect that when talking of the Body of Christ (the…[Read more]

Can I just if Paul went against the law for teaching the following:Romans 14:5-65 One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God;…[Read more]

Quote (Is 1:18 @ Mar. 12 2007,04:01)Well t8, let's see if your view holds up to scrutiny. We can look at some of the verses dealing with the Spirit and see if your “truth” fits the scriptures. You hold that the Holy Spirit is the Father's personal spirit, right? Please, if you could just give me a 'yes' or 'no', it would be appreciated.Good dodge…[Read more]

OK that's good then.I just have a simple question in that case.Do Mormons believe the Trinity doctrine?I think Nick pointed out that they do in a statement of faith he found on their website, but I was under the impression that they didn't believe it.
