Q: If God created all things through Christ, then guess who created all things?A: God.Ephesians 2:10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.2 Corinthians 5:18All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:John…[Read more]

To WJ.Quote (WorshippingJesus @ June 19 2007,08:47)Jn 20:28 And Thomas answered and *said unto him*, My Lord and my God.This passage seems to be so distressing to the Unitarians and Henotheist and Arians.Distressing? It is even written that the sons of the most high are theos/elohim.No distress to speak of WJ.The term theos and elohim is not…[Read more]

WJ.Remember this:Jesus gave the greatest rebukes to religious men who taught more from the traditions of men than truth. He was actually quite friendly with sinners.I think the reason here is that sinners were easily able to repent, but the proud teachers of tradition didn't think they needed to repent. A hard and stubborn heart only leads to rebuke.

Quote (WorshippingJesus @ Dec. 22 2006,17:15)Quote The word proskyneo and it's Hebrew counterpart are often applied to men, and in those cases, it obviously doesn't mean worship. So when the translator comes to that word, they say: “Well, this is talking about Jesus and we know Jesus is God, so let's render it “worship.””Then, people such as…[Read more]

Maybe if the calender system was instituted by God, but it appears to be the invention of man.But there is a way to know when the end will come and our gathering to Christ.2 Thessalonians 2:1-41 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some…[Read more]

It does say that the head of Christ is God and the head of the man is Christ.Regarding creation, God created all through Christ.God is Spirit and is way beyond our ways. Between God and man is a mediator. Through Christ we were created and through Christ we can see God.God > Christ > ManNot, God > Man.No one can come to God except through Christ…[Read more]

Quote (Not3in1 @ June 19 2007,15:53)The verse makes sense to me.And it makes sense because I believe Jesus did exist in God's plan. It was through this plan that God created everything. So was Jesus always part of God's plan or was he a backup for Adam who stuffed up.What would have happened if Adam didn't sin? Would Jesus exist to your way of…[Read more]

Jude 1:25to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.If Jesus isn't before all ages, now and forevermore, then the above verse doesn't make sense. The universe came into being through him. Surely that was before all ages. I am not saying that he is the…[Read more]

Quote (Not3in1 @ June 19 2007,15:17)Just to clarify:I do not believe that Jesus is “just” a man!Jesus is the Son of God.Just because I do not believe that Jesus preexisted does not mean that I think him a mere man.Good. I think this is the belief of Unitarians though.Jesus has divine nature and he also partook of human nature.

It seems to me that on one side you have some who say that Jesus is God and on the other some who say he was a man only.It reminds me of something I read from Origen once. Now there are many who are sincerely concerned about religion, and who fall here into great perplexity. I can appreciate the arguments of Unitarians as to why the Trinity is a false doctrine. Jesus Christ is a mystery that is being revealed. Scripture says that he was from ancient times and that nothing that was made was made without him.Even if we don't fully understand, all we can do is believe what scripture says.He has also returned to the glory that he had before.

Hi Gene. There are 2 (that I know of) words for 'word' in scripture.Rhema and Logos.Jesus is the Logos according to John 1:1 and Revelation 19:13.Yes Jesus came in the flesh and the Logos became flesh.I see these 2 verses as complimentary. I don't think that the actual word turned into flesh, but that he came in the flesh.
