Quote (kejonn @ Feb. 22 2008,23:55)Like this thread — I've seen you t8, and perhaps Nick, call WJ a false teacher just because he believes in the trinity. To WJ, that is the what he believes. What right do you have to say he is false? In his heart and mind, you are false. Who truly is false, the one who does not believe as you do?If WJ says that…[Read more]

That is true in most cases. But you will get a type of person that brings some baggage with him and into all discussions and they never seem to leave. They spam their ideas all over the place and a lot of work is required when dealing with them. You can end up defending yourself against them all the time as they require or you can ignore them. But…[Read more]

And some of the Pharisees had the right to disagree that Jesus was the messiah and the son of God. But the right to do something doesn't equate to being right.Humans have the right to be wrong, that I agree with.

Stu seems to admit that it requires a measure of a type of faith to believe that there is no God.

Quote (Stu @ Feb. 15 2008,21:52)Your analogy is not a theory. There is an important difference between HTML and DNA. HTML is only a set of instructions to tell the system what to display or point to. DNA contains all the information for making an entirely new system. That is why natural selection can cause radical changes in the frequency of…[Read more]

It could well be true that life as we know it is the only system that is chemically possible. There are some good chemical reasons to believe this. Hey Stu are all non-believers peace loving people? And without those who believe in God, would the world would be a paradise of love and understanding? In that scenario and if they all believed in Evolution, would survival of the fittest not be engaged in because of tolerance for the weak?I think that a planet of atheists would be a planet of…[Read more]

Quote (CPe @ Feb. 16 2008,10:30)Now that I am convinced that the bible do not teach the concept of the trinity, where do I go from here? Quote (kejonn @ Feb. 16 2008,15:49)Here's the scenario: God made the animals, God made Adam and Eve. One of God's animals (as far as Eve knew) said the fruit was fine. Eve did not know evil, so it was easy for her to believe in the words spoken by a creature that God created. Then, Adam shares and God punishes them for believing one of God's…[Read more]

Quote (kejonn @ Feb. 16 2008,09:16)Here's one to ponder: since Adam and Eve did not know good and evil until they ate of the fruit, how would it be a sin to eat of the fruit since they did not know the difference?
