I confess to not seeing this discussion before.I am 44 years old and am married to a lovely Colombian lady and we have a son who is 2 and a half years old.We live in New Zealand and we have lived in Colombia. Quite extreme because Colombia is one of the most dangerous countries on earth and New Zealand is probably the safest or one of them. So…[Read more]

So if there is no denial that Jesus is Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Moses, or Abraham then there always remains the possibility that he is one of these people or someone else. But to make a doctrine out of one of these choices is not wise.Speculation should remain speculation and should never become a doctrine or teaching.

Quote (david @ Aug. 07 2008,09:24)Quote Hi david,Yes, classic misuse of scripture, falsely patching individual verses together with logic and inference.Thanks. Nick, perhaps you could explain to me why according to Mike's reasoning “it is impossible for Michael to be Jesus.”It just doesn't teach that Michael and Jesus are the same person…[Read more]

Quote (Stu @ Aug. 11 2008,20:42)Are you ressurrected t8? Is this how you have such great knowledge of conversion in the hereafter? Of course it is too late for atheists then, especially those who have rejected Jesus as I do, so how do you justify that theologically? Not that I have any repect for theology. I wish I could have nothing to do wit…[Read more]

Stu if you don't want anything to do with God then that is your choice. No one of forcing you to believe, although I wouldn't be that surprised if you actually ended up a believer. I have seen quite a few people who spent a lot of time persecuting when what was really happening was they were being drawn to the truth, and after all their questions…[Read more]

Yes LU. In all things good God is the giver. It is up to us to respond. If God gives faith, then it is up to us to respond in faith. If God loves us, then we are able to respond in love.If God provides for us, then surely we should also give of ourselves.

Quote (Stu @ Aug. 11 2008,00:45)And some with faith are wicked. The US prison population comprises 0.23% atheists from a general population of 15% (more likely 25%, or maybe not as high as other western countries, with so many god genes amongst the US founders). You can bet your US convict is a christian.Correct.The bible doesn't teach a…[Read more]

Quote (Stu @ Aug. 11 2008,00:45)Did your spiritual lawyer suggest adopting that phrase? From what I have seen in churches, on television and in scripture, understanding that there is a god is like falling victim to a confidence trickster or a clever cold-reading psychic or hypnosis. The two are indistinguishable, except for the scale of the d…[Read more]

Quote (Stu @ Aug. 11 2008,00:45)You say it like it is a disability.Yes that is true.I had that disability once and really couldn't stand anyone who believed in God. But then my eyes were opened. Quote (Stu @ Aug. 10 2008,01:08)That was exactly my point, actually. Creationists shout loudly whenever they find someone with a PhD who agrees with them. Real scientists don’t. It is incidentally true that creationists almost never have degrees in biology. And it shows. You don't need a PhD to know that there is a God. I think you will find…[Read more]

If an unbeliever of the Santa Singularity doing everything on it's own falls under the delusion of Darwinianity, do all those evolutionary believing apes who persecuted him have to retract what they said now that he has become a darwinian ape like them?Just wondering.
