Quote (gollamudi @ Aug. 28 2008,20:36)Amen to that simple and wonderful post my brother Gene. Jesus is none but 'Living word of God' and a messenger or Prophet of God as foretold by Moses in Deut 18.Mohamed also believed that or most of it and he believed in one God, as did the demons too.But who truly believes that he also existed in the form…[Read more]

Hmmm.I guess that it is up to the game and who wins. If the curve backs fight off the straight ones, then you might end up with the Planet of the Apes scenario. But of course if we wait long enough, the whole thing will just evolve from a pixel that decided to expand anyway. Perhaps the ultimate answer is that it is up to that pixel and the…[Read more]

Stu what about an ape game where higher evolved species get to wipe out the lesser ones. You could get points or bananas for using weapons fashioned from stone and wood. Special points if you use fire etc.Even if you don't resort to weapons, there would be a steady flow of points or bananas if you compete better in an eco-system to the detriment…[Read more]

Quote (Gene Balthrop @ Aug. 28 2008,16:31)To make the text say He was born before Abraham existed is Forcing the text T8.Forcing the text?I think your bias is making you see that Gene. When most people read Q: “Are you older than Abraham”?A: “Before Abraham, I am”?They see it for what it is saying. God speaks his truth through the Truth. God gives his life through the Life.God makes a way through the Way.God's word comes though the Word. There are attributes and there are names that describe a person. People often trip up on the difference. Usually the definite article in Greek helps us to understand, when someone is being identified as…[Read more]

Given the context of the question “Are you older than Abraham”, Jesus uttered those words. There is no mention of ego being a plan. It was a straight forward question followed by a straight forward answer. The answer also really annoyed the Pharisees. If he was just saying that he was in God's plan, then you could say that all of us are, and that…[Read more]

Quote (TimothyVI @ Aug. 28 2008,11:48)It does say before Abraham was, and then it does say I am..It does not say before Abraham I was. I am is in the present tense.I would suspect that not even the Hebrews talked like that.If I said “before the rain came, I am”, you would ask, “you are what?”That is an incomplete sentence that I still say leaves…[Read more]
