Hi 942767.Quote (942767 @ Feb. 13 2009,14:22)Hi you Greek sholars:Is there any chance that Hebrews 1:10 is mistranslated. Can it be translated differently? It does not seem to line up with Hebrews 1:2 which states:Quote Hbr 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hbr 1:2 Hath in t…[Read more]

Thx WJ.Yes man is more than flesh and so the son of man was more than just flesh and he is greater. It is important to believe that he came in the flesh, not that he is the flesh, for to put our trust in the flesh is not recommended.

Quote (Stu @ Feb. 01 2009,10:07)t8's worldview could be 100% right, but in his writing here I have never once seen any indication that he can consider it critically. Yes well said.As you said, we judge each other on such things and that tests or sharpens what we think.Scripture is also the acid test in that if it doesn't agree, then it is not worth pursuing. Unless of course there is reason to doubt the scripture is correctly translated or should be there at all.

yes.. why are we going around in circles? That is a good question. There was no need to go round in circles from what I can see.Proclaimer replied to the topic in the forum Is baptism needed for salvation? 17 years, 9 months ago

Like I said, the letter J is only about 500 years old, therefore it is impossible for Jehovah to be the Father's name.Jesus is a transliteration. This appears to be quite an interesting discussion.Although I may not agree with the idea that all will be saved. Simply because the wicked will perish and be destroyed.
