Quote (bodhitharta @ Dec. 24 2009,09:56)How were the angels created? and do you insist that God did not create anything?John 1:3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.Romans 16:26but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might…[Read more]

Quote (bodhitharta @ Dec. 24 2009,09:56)So Jesus is God to you? He created you?No BD.He is my head.Just as the man is the head of the woman, Christ is my head and God is my creator. It's quite simple to understand.

Your idea about allegory is also a convenient excuse by many to change that which they cannot accommodate. With the same argument a person could say that God is an allegory about how the world came into existence. In fact I think that is what some Atheists say.

Quote (bodhitharta @ Dec. 24 2009,05:41)Also causing Christ to create is the same thing as creating Christ unless you are now making Christ “God”Not sure what you mean here, but suffice to say that Christ is unique. He wasn't created like us. He didn't come from God through himself. He came directly from God.That is why God is the head of Christ.…[Read more]

Quote (bodhitharta @ Dec. 24 2009,05:41)There is a great flaw in this type of thinking, do you really suppose that God did not create or get anything else done for the 33 years that Jesus was on earth? What did he need to create? The earth has processes that do not need recreation and I am sure that God and heaven were focussed on his life here on…[Read more]

No, because creation is defined as that being made by God through Christ. Obviously Christ didn't come into existence in that way. He wasn't made through himself because that would mean that he had to exist before his existence.John 1:3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.Christ is unique. He is the…[Read more]

God is the source of all, even his son.The son had glory with God before the world began. So it stands to reason that he is the oldest being besides God who has always existed. The son existed in the form of God and God made the universe through him and for him.God sent his son into the world. This was the ultimate price paid for our redemption.

God CREATED man in his image.God didn't create Christ in his image.Christ is the image of the invisible God. He is the fullness of deity in bodily form.We are not THE image and we are not the fullness. Each of us reflect in part. This is why he is the bridegroom and the Church is his bride.

Quote (bodhitharta @ Dec. 23 2009,10:56)What does THE son of God mean?Simple speaking I take it to mean the offspring of God although children of God might be a better description of that.”Son of God” has many possible meanings, referring to angels, or humans or mankind. The son of God is a specific son of God.Scripture states that he is the…[Read more]

I was referring to the context of what we are currently discussing. I prefer to sign off on the son of God part before moving onto that one. Otherwise we will have too many loose ends. Better to understand fully each others position before moving on to the next step of your challenge.

Quote (bodhitharta @ Dec. 23 2009,10:46)Okay, so let's get specific to the topic. Was Jesus saying he was the only way to God for all time or was he being specific to the audience he was talking to?How is this related to the topic?

Look up the verses to do with the him being THE son of God. The article is present.Look up the verse that says “we are gods”. The article is not present. The difference is clearly seen in the above. When Jesus said “ye are gods”, he was not saying “Ye are THE God”. Jesus is THE son of God.

Quote (bodhitharta @ Dec. 23 2009,10:26)Okay, so you concede that the first in all thing isn't literal, right? Now about Christ being in the form of God, in the ressurection you will be like him so will you also have the form of God and if so wouldn't that mean just being a spirit? You say that Christ humbled himself? Did he have a choice? What you…[Read more]

There is the definite article (THE).e.g., THE theos is not the same as theos.THE adam is not the same as adam.Similarly in English we can say the following:The man made tools.or Man made tools. One of those sentences is identifying a particular person and the other is talking of man in general.Likewise we are sons, but we are not THE son.
