Quote (Lightenup @ June 01 2010,13:12)I don't believe that anyone can show some scripture that clearly connects the Son of God with a time of His 'appointing' as firstborn as we can with the appointed firstborn that David and Israel are. So, if there was no specific appointment, then the natural meaning of the term 'firstborn' would be the…[Read more]

Maybe that argument rubbed off on you in the end.https://www.heavennet.net/writings/atheist.htmAnd your belief that there was about a 0.05% or 0.5% chance of their being a God is now retracted?

You first have to acknowledge the existence of a God before you ask that. You are trying to run before you can walk.Slow down and start at first base. Then progress from there.I know it is tempting to try and do bigger things, but when you have the basics you can progress from there. I mean if you never skied before, would you start at the top of…[Read more]

In other words, no answer, no clue, so dodge the question and don't partake of the debate. As long as you dodge the beginning, then all the other stuff you talk about has no foundation. No foundation means that you have no context and all that you build falls down because nothing holds it up.Try building a house without a foundation. Good luck. You…[Read more]

Evolution world view.Who am I? Nothing important, in fact you are a problem, you pollute the environment.Where did I come from? A cosmic burpWhy am I here? There is no purpose. Just have fun. Do what feels good.Where am I going when I die? You are going to the grave to be recycled as a worm or something.Sounds like no future to me.

The doctrine of eternal punishment requires one to have eternal life in order to then consciously experience the burning of the fire forever.Destruction is the opposite as it is defined as the second death. It appears that the wicked will cease to exists like animals/beasts as they will be subject to the same destruction as the universe.2 Peter…[Read more]

Yeah, I did quite a bit of rearranging and didn't carefully read what I typed before posting.Yes, Hebrews 1.5 seems to be talking about his birth too.So you think the difference is being born as a kind, as opposed to being transformed or conforming to something?

Lastly she claims that she alone has the right to interpret…[Read more]

Eternal destruction means that there is no possibility of a resurrection. Forever destroyed and cut away from God's presence. Never to have life again.e.g., Babylon was destroyed and Saddam tried to rebuild it. But eternal destruction would rule out any possibility that it could be brought back or re-created.

Hey kanga you are bouncing all over the place as david has shown.Let me say that a first-born is literally a first-born and has certain privileges as a result. Only when a first-born gives up his birthright does it become open to another. It seems there are some people who make the exception the rule.
