The other thing is that some guests say outrageous things and don't stick around to defend them. Because they are hidden as a guest, they feel they don't have to defend what they say. This is what happened quite a bit when guests use to post here. Having some kind of ID, usually means more chance of defending statements.

I think that is a good idea, but giving guests posting rights will open up the floodgates for spammers.If it wasn't for that, I would gladly give guests a say.
