1 John 5:20We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true—even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.I wonder if you can make this simple and append who is being referenced in each point:I will give you my take and hopefully I can s…[Read more]

Proclaimer replied to the topic Jesus is the image and we are an image in the forum Scriptural Teachings 16 years, 4 months ago
I know this is not a complete answer, but there might be some food for thought here.God made man in his image and he created them male and female. So is he talking about both man and woman being the image? Also, Jesus is the bridegroom and we are the bride and we know that the man is the head of the woman and Christ is the head of the man and God…[Read more]

Quote (JustAskin @ June 20 2010,22:48)To All,I'm confused…Jesus is the image of God, yes?But Man was also created in the image of God, yes? So…is man then not a manifestation of God?Also, in Heaven, Jesus was in the 'form of Spirit' but he then ''EMPTIED'' himself and was born in the 'form of Man'.He was fully man and therefore the same…[Read more]

According to the grammar and spell checker in Microsoft Word, the following sentence 'Meaningless drivel' needs revising. Okay okay, I know this is silly, but it is funny. Thanks for the laughs Stu.Shall we get back to our pointless debate or go all out in a tit for tat war?

Quote (Stu @ June 18 2010,17:58)How about the hydroplate “theory”?This is meaningless drivel because I take it that 'hydroplate' is the name of a theory. If so, then what should we do with names again? This lesson was brought to you by the letter H and the number 3, (which by the way, is a finite number).
Anyway, you get the idea. I know this…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic Journey to the edge of the universe in the forum Creation & Science 16 years, 4 months ago
Quote (Stu @ June 18 2010,17:58)What they should fail to see is what on earth you are on about.Meaningless drivel. The planet 'Earth' has a capital 'e' as it's the name of a particular place. If you're referring to dirt or soil as opposed to sea and air, then earth is not capitalized.

Trying to win an argument on a technicality rather than the subject is what people do when they are losing Stu.Think of the Italians goal against the All Whites. No offence if you are an Italian. You obviously understand my point, and that is what matters. Try to think of infinite numbers and finite numbers. How many finite numbers can fit into an…[Read more]

Good point SF.But even two opposing influences require a choice as to which one will be your master.Going back to your example. What if everything in the bedroom was symmetrical and getting out of either side of the bed posed no advantage whatsoever. Would that mean that you couldn't get out of bed because you would have no influence?Gene, you…[Read more]

I think this is a useless debate. It is just playing with words and in my opinion will just be a time waster. We all know that we have influences and constraints, not to mention desires and all kinds of other things that are designed to make us choose these things. But the point is that these agents are useless if we have no ability to choose. We…[Read more]

Then stop complaining. Infinite can contain an infinite amount of finite.

But then you have no option but to say that Jesus Christ has a son called Jesus Christ. And it seems weird that the Father is not being referenced at all.Is that not very strange?

If we read 1 John 5:17 as saying that the true God is Jesus Christ, then John 17:3 would go like this:We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true (Jesus Christ). And we are in him (Jesus Christ) who is true–even in his Son Jesus Christ. He (Jesus Christ) is the true God and e…[Read more]

Yes, actually you may be right there. I think they believe that Allah made it appear that Jesus died on the cross and that it is a lie that Jesus died to atone for our sins.

Oxy. No one can see God. Simple as that. If he can be in all and through all, then how can you see that when you cannot even see all things that he dwells in, never mind inside all things.Jesus is called the image of the invisible God. See, even that scripture says he is invisible and further, we are told that the only one who has seen him is the…[Read more]
