Quote (Gene Balthrop @ Aug. 15 2010,15:33)T8 and Martian………..It is also written the GOD created everything by (himself) and (alone). But you both chose to ignore it right?Actually Gene, who is ignoring it?If God made all things, then it was him and no one else that made all things. If God made all things THROUGH Jesus, then it was still God…[Read more]

Quote (martian @ Aug. 15 2010,05:01)All the debates center on proving that Christ pre-existed, I want to know what purpose it serves. Did God do it so that we would have something to debate? How does this doctrine work? What does it do for the believer? How does it help me along the journey to become like Christ? What kind of fruit does it…[Read more]

Martian, I think most are already aware of what you are saying here and probably agree with most of it.But I personally do not take these scriptures as the foundation of Jesus existence before he emptied himself. Without turning this topic into a duplicate of the Pre-existence thread, I would like to say that your post above does nothing to…[Read more]

So where do polls go if they have their own forum. In the Feedback, Help, Rules, Chat … area?
Proclaimer replied to the topic Polls! in the forum About Believers Place 16 years, 2 months ago
No it can't. But I could move them to a poll forum and leave it in the original forum too, except that when you clicked it from the original forum, it would take you to the Poll forum.I think that would work quite well, because all polls would be together and in their related forums too.

It is interesting to note that the Angel of the LORD is not mentioned at all after Jesus came in the flesh. Is that a clue or a coincidence?

If John 1:1c said, “The Word was THE God”, it would mean that indeed the Word was the God and that would exclude all others. Later we are shown who the Word is and it is Jesus Christ, and now you have just supported the Trinitarians by saying that Jesus is God. Worse than that, it means that Jesus is God to the exclusion of God the…[Read more]

Quote (gsilva72 @ May 07 2008,10:45)How is Jesus not God? Jesus is not a demi god, but he is God. Hebrews 1:8, Matthew 1:23, John 1:1, 1 Timothy 3:16 all declare that Jesus is God. Also notice that the G in God with these scriptures is not a little g.

Proclaimer replied to the topic Polls! in the forum About Believers Place 16 years, 3 months ago
The problem here is that a poll can be created from any forum as part of core functionality. But I do have the ability to move polls as I do posts. So they could be created where ever, and I move them to their own forum. What do others think. Are polls better off in their own forum, or in the forum that they are related to by subject?

Fair enough Roo, but it would be nice if you guys didn't resort to names and labels that we do not identify with. Quote (Brian @ Aug. 13 2010,19:18)however does a Messenger have to be an Angel?Hi Irene. Like your new name.Messenger and Angel are the same word ang'-el-os. There is no distinction as such. It is translators who use the same word to mean 'angel' for heavenly messenger and 'messenger' for earthly messenger.

In fact just to prove my point further (Lightenup), the following scripture says that the thorn in the side of Paul was an angel/messenger/ang'-el-os of Satan.2 Corinthians 12:7-97 To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three…[Read more]
