Personally, I do not have to attain an goal of becoming god like.
That is why Jesus said that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to go to heaven.
All of us are rich humans but what is impossible for a human is possible for God. Have faith and believe.

I have. The answer is a soul redeems a soul. Under the Law the soul of an animal redeemed the soul of a human being but Jesus provided a better thing the soul a truly righteous man. The first death was all that was necessary whether it is an animal or a human being. There is more to it but that answers your question.

I cannot speak for the wicked but that is not how things work for the righteous. Instead the righteous change there view of God to be more like God as they learn more. They don’t only change their viewpoint of God but also change their own self to more like him in righteousness and holiness. If they lack the Spirit is remains an…[Read more]

So you do not believe John but you believe the Jews.
Did you realize Satan had tricked you in that matter? Sneaky isn’t he? He gets me at times as well.
Those are rhetorical questions and statements.
My real point is that is is not actually a big point of doctrine whether or not one believes, except in the context of salvation.…[Read more]

Any well respecting Roman Catholic will tell you that Seven Day Adventists are not Christians and yet does that mean they are not.
In addition John labeled unbelieving Jews as being the synagogue of Satan and false claimants to Judaism. Jesus called his brothers who did not believe children of the devil and not the children of…[Read more]

Jesus’ twelve disciples are OT Jews. They did no more than a Russian citizen stops being a Russian.
A fair share of the Jews, especially in the U.S.A., are not OT Jews before. The majority are Reformed or Conservative traditions; both of which it can be said the worship me with their mouths but their hearts are far from me.…[Read more]

Hi @Princess

Oh Andrew choosing a religion is not Voila!
much more goes into it. you just can’t believe, whichever religion you choose there are rituals, rules, regulations, text that you can only abide by. if you do not abide by the creed, then you aren’t a true believer. so make sure you know what you are getting into.
I think the point of And…[Read more]

Inspiration , no matter how overwhelming, can come from a variety of sources.
Yes Nick it can, do you know how to discern?
God is far more interested in us producing good fruit than gaining knowledge.
Wisdom will only produce good fruit. That was my whole point wisdom will only produce good fruit:
Job 32:8
But there is a spirit in…[Read more]bodhitharta replied to the topic Christianity is Hopelessly Confused in the forum Faith 9 years, 6 months ago
Still waiting on a simple answer on how this holy spirit communicates with you. and you want to play here we go around the mulberry bush
the best way to describe it would be by way of “overwhelming inspiration followed by confirmation” although that term may not adequately relay the idea it’s the best way to describe it.

Holy means “consecrated” and “separate” as in set apart for a special purpose.
“Thou wilt not find any people who believe in God and the Last Day, loving those who resist God and His Apostle, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and

Thanks again BD for you answer. Please understand this first before continuing, I do not have a title, name of any god attached to me. Most assured this is somewhat of a travesty on this forum. So when I read what is posted by others here I tend to see the same thing just in different form. Again it is my own.
You believe that…
