    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Jesus Christ, led by the Spirit, obeyed the will of the Father unto death.
    He sacrificed the flesh and we owe him immense gratitude.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @Jodi Hi Jodi,
    First we need to be baptised in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins.
    Then this applies to all of us who still unconsciously sin 1 Jn 2 1
    Jn 13
    He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean;

    • Profile picture of Jodi

      First God calls us, it is through His Spirit that we are led to a repentant heart. We cannot do anything on our own, we cannot recognize our sins, and be sorry of those sins without God working in us. What baptism represents is being repentant and then going through a ritual act that symbolizes being washed clean from our sins as we recognize that…[Read more]

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    CHRISTENED CHRIST?
    No the angel told them he would be called JESUS.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    No,
    Let scripture speak.
    Even Herod understood it meant the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem.
    It says nothing about being born anointed but that is your private interpretation.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    You still do not understand that flesh contributes nothing.
    Men have the privilege of holding the treasure.
    2cor 4.7

    • Profile picture of Ed J

      So Jesus flesh dying on the cross, according to Nick, contributes nothing towards our Salvation?
      Doesn’t sound pretty, if that is what you are preaching

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    No the Christ was born as a normal man of body, soul and spirit at Bethlehem
    and anointed at the river Jordan.
    You misinterpret scripture

      But thou,
      “Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah,
      yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel;”
      Who is the “He” referring to in Micah 5:2 ? Christ, Yes?

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    So the body was prepared for the Holy Spirit.
    The clean vessel of Jesus of Nazareth.

    • Profile picture of Ed J

      Were the bodies of the Church also likewise prepared by following the law?
      You invent “brain bondo” and dismiss comparisons

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Acts 2.2
    And suddenly therecame from heaven noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting, and there appeared to them tongues of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit…[Read more]

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    Man became a living soul by the breath of God.
    Was only a body conceived for Jesus?
    Or was he not a man?

    • Profile picture of Ed J

      “Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith,
      Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but
      a body hast thou prepared me” (Heb 10:5)

    • Profile picture of Ed J

      Shall we now smudge that verse out of our bibles, because you disagree with what it says?

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @EdJ Hi Ed,
    So only his body was of earth.
    Doesn’t sound like he was conceived as a man.
    Men are body, soul and spirit according to 2 thess 5.23.

    @Jodi Hi Jodi,
    Faith without actions is dead.
    Faith without obedience is just vanity.
    You must be reborn of water and the Spirit.
    Why do you call me Lord, Lord and not do what I say?

    • Profile picture of Jodi

      Hi Nick,

      Yes absolutely, as it is by our actions that our faith can be seen. However we are not capable of being perfect and one sin equals death, but praise to God our Father for Jesus paying the penalty for all our sins. As long as we recognize our sins and repent, loathing our weakness, and ask God to help us, that shows our faith as well as…[Read more]

    @t8 Hi t8,
    Make sure the light in you is not darkness,
    For O how deep that darkness can be.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @t8 Hi T8,
    Your words are of confusion being unable to recognise that Jesus Christ refers to the anointed one.
    Jesus of Nazareth was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power.

    • Profile picture of Proclaimer

      Yes when I quote scripture it can be confusing. But scripture will renew the mind and will make things clearer. A good reason to not change scripture to suit own pet doctrines.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @t8 Hi t8,
    So what is your interpretation of the verses you quote in phil 2?

    • Profile picture of Proclaimer

      He was in nature God, not identity, but he humbled himself instead of taking advantage of this. He took on the nature of a servant instead, being made in human likeness. As a man, he humbled himself to the point of death. From being in nature God to being made lower than the angels to even death. We read elsewhere that he is with God in the glory…[Read more]

    @t8 Hi t8,
    Heb 2.14
    Since then the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise also partook of the same…
    So this shows that the nature of the Son was THE SAME as the rest of humanity.
    No difference. No soul of a preexistent being in human flesh.

    • Profile picture of Proclaimer

      Yes.
      And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

      So what happened before that?

      Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

      6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

      7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him…[Read more]

    @t8 Hi t8,
    For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Jesus Christ.
    A man is body, soul and spirit. Jesus did not add flesh to his preexistent being.
    His soul was of humanity, not divinity. Such a new creation is not a man.

    • Profile picture of Proclaimer

      Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

      But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @t8 Hi t8,
    Your care is to defend your interpretations as the truth.
    God is bigger than you. Show some humility.

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @t8 Hi T8,
    Scripture is careful but not pedantic.
    Having established that Jesus is the Messiah Hebrews speaks of Jesus.

    • Profile picture of Proclaimer

      But your rule is Jesus is not the Christ. Only Jesus Christ is the Christ. But the Antichrist Spirit says that Jesus is not the Christ. We have a match right?

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @t8 Hi t8,
    Even the least in the kingdom is greater than John.
    Are you one with the one who is greater than all the prophets?
    Do you have the Spirit of Christ? Have you a given role in the Body of Christ ?

  • Profile picture of NickHassan

    @anthony Hi Anthony,
    Try searching the scriptures rather than the imaginations of men.
    The Son came, not to be worshiped as a god, but to show you the way of salvation.
    He was born of woman and under the law-job 25-and found grace, found the Way of the Spirit.
