@EdJ Hi Ed,
So your claim is that the baptism of water is the baptism of John and is for the Jews only?
‘Here is water. What is to prevent me from being baptised?’
And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they bth went down into the water, Philip as well as the Eunuch; and he baptised him.
And when they came up out of the water,the Spirit of the…[Read more]NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago

And Paul said
‘John baptised with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in him who was coming after him, that is Jesus Christ.’NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago
@EdJ Hi Ed,
Indeed the baptism of John was of water and essential for the Jews.
Lk 7.30
But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected God’s purpose for themselves, not having been baptised by John.And there is no confusion with the baptism of water in the name of Jesus Christ

Indeed Lk 3.16 specifies the baptisms.

@EdJ Hi Ed,
Yes angelic sons of God abandoned their proper abode and came into the daughters of men.
Angels are not of flesh and not born of flesh and God does not forgive nor give help to angels.So how does John 3 relate to this as it was not spoken to or about angels?

@EdJ Hi Ed,
God is a God of peace and not confusion.
If anyone can appoint a meaning to baptism such is confusion..

@anthony Hi Anthony,
Guesswork and reliance on inference does not lead to the truth.

1Peter 3 mentions water.NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago
@carmel Hi Carmel,
Using guesswork will never make your words to be of truth.
The revelation of God says that he was led by the Spirit in Lk 4.1 after the anointing.NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago
@EdJ Hi Ed,
So if the word REPENT appears alone do you ASSUME that water baptism is not required?
Scripture does not say SPIRIT BAPTISM SAVES but it does say baptism saves in1Peter 3.
When scripture says baptism do you ASSUME it means BAPTISM IN THE SPIRIT?NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago
@EdJ Hi Ed,
This is one of the basics of our faith as Hebrews 6 shows.
Why deny scripture?NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago
@EdJ Hi Ed,
Cornelius and his friends were baptised in the Spirit first, but Peter insisted they be baptised in water.
What did Philip discuss with the Eunuch that caused him to react when he saw the water

@EdJ Hi Ed,
Again I ask why do you deny the requirement for gentiles to be water baptised in the name of Jesus Christ?NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago
@EdJ Hi Ed,
So why mention angels in relation to John 3?NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago
