So far, we've learned that the following things cannot be scripturally refuted:1.  John 1:1c can be faithfully translated as “and the Word was a god”.  (Many expert Greek scholars)2.  Jesus is called a god in scripture.  (Is 9:6, Heb 1:8-9, etc.)3.  Jesus was with God before the world began.  (John 17:5)4.  All things were said to have been made t…[Read more]

You previously said Jesus and the Holy Spirit together made up God's one Son. You said they were “one”.So now what's…[Read more]

Quote (2besee @ Feb. 10 2013,14:33)Jesus is a man/Son of God (the second Adam). So then you acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the Son of God? I agree, and so do the scriptures. Now, if you could only show me the scriptures that teach us that the Holy Spirit is also the Son of God, I might believe you.Until the time you are able to show those…[Read more]

Quote (Ed J @ Feb. 10 2013,13:47)Do you call Jesus “The Everlasting Father”?  “Yes” or “no”?Scripture calls Jesus everlasting father, Ed.This is from NETNotes: must not be taken in an anachronistic Trinitarian sense. (To do so would be theologically problematic, for the “Son” is the messianic king and is distinct in his person from God the “Fat…[Read more]

Okay Ed.Then you DO believe Jesus was a good person. Why didn't you just say that?As for your claim that he was good ONLY BECAUSE the “Godhead” (whatever that is) dwelt in him:Did Jesus say ONLY God is good? Or did he say that God AND those in whom God dwells are good? Which one?

2B, Kerwin, and Gene:Are you guys seeing this?  Surely, sitting outside looking in, you can see that Ed is going to great and asinine lengths to FORCE his own “truth” into the scriptures.Surely you are able to see that this is just not right. Now you know how I often feel when I read YOUR posts – in which YOU GUYS also try the same, lame…[Read more]

Does anybody else here believe Ed, that Paul “miswrote” Hebrews 1:8, and put the words “And to the Son he saith” in the wrong place?Does anybody else here think it is not only irrational, but also arrogant for Ed to make such a claim – as if HE knows better than Paul, who actually wrote the words?

More games, Ed? :)Are you claiming that Jehovah claimed to be the ONLY elohim, and then in the next breath trying to get out of it by saying, “That's not the EXACT words He said!”? :DBesides, you already answered “YES” to the first question! It is the second question in which you blatantly contradict many scriptures. So Paul, who was guided along by Jesus and the Holy Spirit during his writings, mistakenly wrote “To the Son he saith” in the wrong place? :D  :D Sorry Ed, but that lame claim is below even you!I have wasted enough of my time on you concerning this subject. I await your response to my last posts in the “ISM” thread.
