Quote (david @ Nov. 25 2013,21:48)Several times in the past two years I've said that John 1:1 could go either way grammatically, and that it's bias one way or the other that determines the translation. That's not exactly true, David.Yes, we can grammatically ADD the definite article “the”, making the translation say, “and the Word was God”. Quote (david @ Nov. 25 2013,21:58)Finding someone who speaks ancient Coptic or koine Greek is impossible.Current Greek still doesn't use an indefinite article. And Greek speaking people understand that John 1:1 speaks of TWO gods – one of whom was WITH the other.

Yes,Mike would honor the Servant OF God Almighty the same way whether he was born in 2000 BCE, 1885 AD, or somehow “existed” from eternity inside of the God who begot him.He would still deserve the honor of a great SERVANT of God – not the honor of the God he serves.

Also Kathi,You didn't address one of my questions. I wanted to know if “the Word of YHWH” was ever said in the targums to be WITH “YHWH”.In other words, did they ALWAYS change “YHWH” to “the Word of YHWH” – to the point that “YHWH Himself” is not even mentioned at all? Or are there scriptures where they clearly outline the fact that “YHWH” and…[Read more]

I would still honor him as the Son, Servant, Prophet, Priest, Sacrificial Lamb, Spokesman, and Anointed One OF our one and only MOST HIGH God, Jehovah. So exactly the same way I honor him now. How long he has lived wouldn't change one of those things listed above.
