Wakeup,
God rules from the throne of God. Do you agree?
The Word of God (aka Jesus) rules from the throne of David. Do you agree?
God Himself does not rule from TWO completely different thrones, Wakeup. So is that enough proof that the Word OF God is a different entity than God Himself?
How about the fact that the Word of God clearly said…[Read more]

God, who is spirit, has MANY sons who are also spirit. We usually call them “angels”. God caused His firstborn of those spirit sons to be made in the likeness of a human being, and born as flesh from the womb of a human woman.
This is what the scriptures clearly teach. I await your answers to t8’s last post, sonofGod.

……God somehow expressed these attributes of himself and begat another who we know as Yeshua the one who came in the flesh to save us. Previous to his coming to us, he was the Word that was with God. He existed in God’s form. I guess you could say, previous to the Word being with God, there was only God and his logos was and still is an a…[Read more]

The teaching is that no matter how cushy our current position in life is, we should be willing to empty ourselves of that high position, and give up everything for the will of God, and the good of others. (Matt 19:16-22)
You’ll notice in verse 22, that man did NOT have the mind of Jesus in him – for Jesus indeed DID empty himself of the cushiest…[Read more]

Kerwin.
The Word was a spirit being formed into the image of God.
See? God FORMED this spirit being, Wakeup. Exactly what I’ve been telling you for a long time.mikeboll64 replied to the topic What does it mean that Jesus came in the flesh? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 11 years, 11 months ago
Yes, Wakeup. I agree. The Word that was IN God, he begat, and then the Word was WITH God. And God made all things through him and for him.
Please explain. Does this mean “The Word” has existed FOR ETERNITY “in God”, and is in fact a “part of God”? Because these are the things Wakeup claims.mikeboll64 replied to the topic What does it mean that Jesus came in the flesh? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 11 years, 11 months ago
God didn’t create a human being on the spot to save us, no he sent his only begotten son, the first-born of all creation. He paid the highest price to save our souls.
Exactly! God didn’t create just any old human being, and decide that this one particular human being (that He didn’t know any better than the rest of us) would become “His Son”, a…[Read more]mikeboll64 replied to the topic What does it mean that Jesus came in the flesh? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 11 years, 11 months ago
Where in Philippians 2:6-8 does it stateJesus existed in the form of God BEFORE being made in the likeness of a human being
Where does the word BEFORE appear in that passage?
Philippians 2:6-11 goes in chronological order. For example, God didn’t give Jesus the name above all names BEFORE he became obedient to death, did He? Yet the words…[Read more]mikeboll64 replied to the topic What does it mean that Jesus came in the flesh? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 11 years, 11 months ago
Mikeb.
This is what proverbs 8 truly said; Yours needs to be corrected.
Proverbs 8:22 ***The LORD possessed*** me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
(NOT CREATED;BUT POSSESSED = IN GOD’S POSSESSION).Playing around with scriptures will only get you in a mess.
Get your conscience clear, or stay as it is and live with i…[Read more]mikeboll64 replied to the topic What does it mean that Jesus came in the flesh? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 11 years, 11 months ago
Yet angels also appear in a glorious form to the point that the observer falls down to worship the angel. This is true of Christ too. But we have the transfiguration to help us figure this out. Jesus was a man, yet he became glorious like we read about in Revelation where his eyes are like fire etc.
The transfiguration is a good point, t8. There…[Read more]mikeboll64 replied to the topic Does God Rule From The Throne Of David? in the forum Truth or Tradition 11 years, 11 months ago
Is the word of a mighty king not as powerful as the king himself?
Please explain further. If a king says, “We are going to invade that nation”, do the LITERAL words he just said go out an invade a nation? On the other hand, if a king is able to cause his LITERAL word to become a separate, living entity, who is it that actually gives power TO…[Read more]mikeboll64 replied to the topic Does God Rule From The Throne Of David? in the forum Truth or Tradition 11 years, 11 months ago
Does not mean David’s physical throne, but David’s position as king of Israel.
Okay……… but how does that answer the question of the thread? The point is that Jesus doesn’t rule forever from the “throne of God” – but on the right hand of God, from the throne of God’s SERVANT David.Doesn’t that prove that Jesus is not God Almighty?
(Btw, I…[Read more]

Excellent point, Mike.
Have you ever heard an intelligent answer to the question of how Jesus can be equally God when he specifically said the Father is the only true God? – John 17:1, 3.
Hi tigger,I haven’t even heard an “intelligent” reason for ANYTHING having to do with the Trinity Doctrine – or from those who insist that Jesus IS the very M…[Read more]

Good point, t8. I have worded it this way:
Pick a name, any name, and let’s pretend he was the first creature God ever created. Let’s call him “Larry Bob”. So if Larry Bob was the very first creature God created, could we say that Larry Bob was:
1. Created as the first of God’s works? (Prov 8:22-31)
2. The beginning of the creation by…[Read more]

No comments from anyone? I was hoping Kathi would give her insight as to why “God Almighty the Son” will spend eternity ruling from the throne of David, the servant of God.

If the man Jesus Christ existed in any way, (other than in God’s foreknowledge) before his conception and birth, he would not be a man, for then all men would have had to exist before their conception and birth.

Does God Almighty rule forever from the throne of God’s SERVANT David?
Because it is clear that Jesus DOES:
Isaiah 9:7
He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom….. from that time on and forever.Luke 1:32-33
“The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forev…[Read more]mikeboll64 replied to the topic The great god we are discussing in the forum Scriptural Teachings 11 years, 11 months ago
