Gene: Mike…..Please read what Jodi wrote in detail’

The light that enlightens,   “every” man that comes into the world” is “the Spirit of God”…

But as you can see from my previous post to Jodi, this “light” has the only name by which we can become true children of God.  What is the name of this light, Gene?

Jodi:  MY ANSWER, THE SON OF JESSE ACCORDING TO ISAIAH 11, 42, 45, AND 61.

Hi Jodi, that is correct. So then would you agree that “the light” to whom John came as a witness is one and the same as “the son of Jesse”? Because scripture says that John came to testify about Jesus, and scripture also says that John came to testify about the light, r…[Read more]

    Hebrews 2:14

Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil…

Jesus “partook” of flesh and blood.  Would you say that has nothing to do with him “becoming flesh and blood”?  If not, then neither c…[Read more]

Carmel: NO Mike, CREATURES LIKE ANGELS,

    ARE NOT DIVINE.

    2 Peter 1:4

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Ed: Look at this thread Mike…

(They’re actually preaching Joseph is Jesus biological father, can you believe that?)

If anyone truly is preaching such a thing, they are doing so against scripture.  We’re told that Joseph never even laid with Mary until after Jesus was born.

Berean: And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Révélation 19:13. Say THAT Jesus’s name IS CALLED. THE WORD OF GOD.

    IS it not clear Gene?

Do You believe THIS verse Gene ?

Once again, it is impossible to rationally argue against this statement.  I’m anxious to see how Jodi and Gene answer my qu…[Read more]

Gene:  Mike. , you Say scripture dosen’t “prohibit” it, but then again scripture does not say Jesus prexisted his birth on this earth either.

Scripture clearly and explicitly teaches that Jesus pre-existed his dwelling among us on earth as flesh.  Maybe you could answer the question I’m asking Jodi right now…

WHO exactly did John the Baptizer…[Read more]

Berean: No Mike. THE SON OF GOD IS GOD AS THE GOD IS GOD AND NOT AS THE ANGELS

Angels are not God as Jesus IS God

Angels are creature, not THE DIVINE ONLY ONE BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD

There is actually no such thing as an “angel” in the Hebrew or Greek scriptures.  Both the Hebrew and Greek words translated into English as “angel” actually mean “…[Read more]

Yes, Jesus is divine… as are God’s other faithful angels.  But they remain angels of God – not God Himself.  And angels are indeed gods – whether or not they are faithful to YHWH.  Satan is a god.  Molech is a god.  Dagon is a god.  Michael is a god.  Gabriel is a god.  Jesus is a god.

But only YHWH is the Most High God OF all of the other g…[Read more]

I believe Jesus emptied himself of his glorious heavenly nature to be born on earth as a human being.  After accomplishing what his and our God sent him to do, he ascended back to heaven, where he now exists with that previous glory – plus some more.

I hope that answers your question, as I couldn’t quite understand the wording.

Berean:  If he took on himself the form of a servant and was made like men
Paul wouldn’t speak like this if Jesus didn’t exist before

We couldn’t talk like this about someone who didn’t exist before….

You can’t rationally argue against that logic.  Unfortunately, many still try to.

Mike:  6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

At this point, you only need ask yourself who or what John the Baptizer came to testify about.  What is the answer?  We…

Hi Jodi, I’ve been absent for a while, but would still like to walk through John 1 with you.

    John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the…

Mike: It’s not two different “God’s Sons”, Jodi.  Jesus was the firstborn Son of God long before the other angels or our world was created.  Jesus was “created as the first of God’s works”, and was “the beginning of the creation by God”.  So he was already the only begotten Son of God long before he was sent into the world.  God’s Son was then bor…

Mike: Ed, (1)is it possible that the phrase “the word of God” can sometimes refer to words that God actually spoke – (2)and other times to a living person who is God’s preeminent spokesman?

Mike:  3. John the Baptizer was testifying about the Holy Spirit of God when he pointed to the man Jesus, and said this is the person I spoke about earlier?
