Ed J, I want an answer, and have done for about a year now.

Do you speak to the Son of God (Jesus)? Yes, or no?

We choose ourselves to argue with them, Terraricca.

Just to clarify: By them I mean ‘Anybody’, (the JWs at the door/ the man down the road/ some people on a forum/ Aunty Emma…. whoever).

The bible asserts islam is destined for destruction.

EdJ, the bible asserts the sinner is destined for destruction. That can include the Christian, as I’m sure you should know. “Lord, Lord, did we not prophecy in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and work miracles in your name”? Then I will declare to them, “I never knew you. Away from…[Read more]

Miia…..That is true no one has all the truth, we are a work in progress. We need to be more supportive and respect each others opinions. That doesn’t mean we have to completel agree with each other, but we can all work for unity of the faith. What i believe is most all of us are trying to work through scriptures that in most cases have been sla…

do you really believe what you saying ? it is to my understanding that when real truthful disciple can unite together they become a force of truth with the spirit of truth

Do you really think it is possible to have complete unity in beliefs without it becoming “manmade” doctrines? Terraricca.

I tend to agree. What it proves to me is that most ignore the myriad of scriptures that confirm that the wicked will be destroyed. It also proves to me that most lack empathy. They teach or agree that lives will be burning for all eternity. Billions of years from now, they will still be screaming in intense pain because God is angry with them. And…

    Hi Miia,
“that refuses to answer question in scriptures”

Wow, Pierre is starting to sound a bit like you
(in this sentence fragment I quoted from him).
Instead he rejects the answers given to him.

    Please take note

and you are right that our relationship with our God and his Christ his important ;but tell me can you have one good relationship with them if you join those who practice deceit and falsehood ?

    Hi Terraricca,
We can still be with Christians who believe differently. Not necessarily at Church but in our day to day lives. We can still treat them…[Read more]

    Terraricca,

I won’t go to a church which believes in eternal conscious torment, which narrows my options (in the end) to virtually zero. If someone believes in eternal conscious torment, they don’t know God properly, and that is my conviction.

This topic is gobbleygoop, and has nothing, imo, to do with knowing God/ Jesus Christ, and certainly,…[Read more]

    Miia,

The two witnesses were in John’s future as he saw the vision and not in his past.

Kerwin, not necessarily so. As an old member used to say (remember the quite humble Abe?)… “past, present or future?”

Marty, the Old Testament verses you quoted above are fulfilled. That’s the conclusion I came to. They have to be understood spiritually (yes Ed, see, I do), and were fulfilled in Christ, His standing on the Mt of Olives, His salvation of the world, healing waters, continuous day not darkness, Heavenly Jerusalem, and so on.

I don’t believe the image of Jesus is “the man of sin”. That cannot be.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him”, (Psalm 2.12).
So it doesn’t matter what image we create in our mind of Jesus, IMO. So long as we know him.

I’ve always believed “the man of…[Read more]

    Hi Ed,

the context is: muslims are the best of peoples and Christians are the worst of creatures

Jesus told us to make disciples of all nations.

After our failure, Jesus appeared himself to Muslims in dreams and visions.

Many Muslims remain silent about their belief in Christ.

Now, Muslims are coming to us as refugees.

Isn’t that a good thing, what excuse do we have now?

    Hi Nick,

    I don’t understand peoples blindness.

The Pharisees thought they were the chosen ones, did they not? And looked down on others.

“The least of these” in the context of the chapter does not necessarily mean a lesser Christian, but means (I believe) humanity.

Jesus does not mention a thousand years. The Disciples do not mention a thousand years. Both Jesus and the Disciples/ Paul mention the coming of Christ in final judgment, and an eternal kingdom. Obviously, the thousand years in Revelation is symbolic for something.
