    Berean, Pilgrim and t8,

Re: satan is NOT the god of this world in 2 Cor 4:4 as per Irenaeus in his book “Against Heresies, Book III, Chapter 7

Reply to an objection founded on the words of St. Paul (2 Cor. iv. 4). St. Paul occasionally uses words not in their grammatical sequence

    Hi Jodi,

    You said:

I hope this post does not go unanswered Lu, as you have not responded to several of my posts that have also showed clearly that Jesus is without a doubt not possibly YHVH.

Jodi, I have addressed this with you many times over the years. Your passages show clearly that Jesus is not the member of the Unity that is the Father. That…[Read more]

    Hi Jodi,

    You said (for starters):

Please explain as the God in the below passage is not the Son, and it was not the Son that spoke in times past unto the fathers, God did in divers manners. We read in the OT prophets receiving God’s word through angels, visions, and dreams.

Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in t…

    Hi Gene,

LU……Glad you understand that “adonai” means Almighty God, now with that understanding go back and reread what King David said, “the LORD (adonai)  Almight God, said unto my lord (adon) meaning a human ruler. the human ruler there was speaking about “the anointed man Jesus”.

    Hi Pilgrim,

    You mistakenly said to Jodi:

You: Jehovah was one of the three “men,” the other two were angels.

My Response: An interpretation to suit your theology but it is clearly contrary to the text of Genesis 18.

I actually said that, not Jodi. I believe that the Jehovah that Abraham is talking to is the pre-incarnate Son of God. The oth…[Read more]

    Hi Pilgrim,

    You said:

When Jehovah appeared to Abraham (Genesis 18) he appeared as three men (v.2) to whom Abraham bowed and addressed them as Adonay (used as a proper name of God only). Abraham prepared victuals for them, I.e. Jehovah, the three men. Jehovah manifest as three men said “Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;” (Ge…

    Hi Jodi,

    You said:

Jesus said the Spirit was upon him an anointing. He was the son of Jesse GIVEN the Spirit of Wisdom, Council and Might, Knowledge and Fear of the LORD. First you have a man and then he is Chrio (to anoint) becoming the Christos (anointed).

What does this mean, “he is Chrio becoming the Christos?” Please show me the verse with…[Read more]

    Jodi,

Thank you for your answer and I agree that Abraham spoke to “Yah” face to face in Gen 18. I’m not sure how you justify that no man has seen God at any time though.

You said in a previous post:

The Spirit is life because of righteousness, and this man received the Spirit and is said to have been called to righteousness. Because of his…

Jodi, who do you think Abraham is having a face to face conversation with in this passage:

    Genesis 18

    Hi Jodi,

Thank you for your post. How would you answer this question:

Was Jesus anointed in order to be the first begotten son of God?

    Or

Was Jesus anointed because he WAS the only begotten son of God?

In other words, which came first…the state of being the only begotten son of God or the state of being anointed in order to become the first b…[Read more]

You said: What I want to do, is give God the Father my life…

If this is what you want, you have to give Jesus your life, go through the gate which is Jesus to get to the Father. You need to take up your cross daily and follow Jesus. Recognize Jesus as your shepherd, THE SHEPHERD, not as a fellow sheep in the herd. He is the head of the…[Read more]

    Gene,

    Thank you for your response.

    This is what you said:

Jesus was anointed because he was a Son of Man, he had to be anointed in order to do the Will of God, exactly as we have to be also.

So how did he get singled out since all humans aside from Adam and Eve are a “son of man?”
