Regarding this post:
LU:Who is the next highest theos?
t8:Jesus Christ the son of the living God who is called the Word of God is the highest appointed living being. There is none above him, only the Father. In other words he is not the one true Theos and the Most High. He is his son. While he is not God, he is the most like him. So like him…

@t8,
Can you please respond to this regarding John 1:1:
You have been told many times that the theos in “the word was theos” is a noun. You keep using it as an adjective.

As for gods, they are a dime a dozen. And not all gods are false. There is the one true God. God of this world. Even Jesus said, “ye are gods”. When you understand the usage of theos, then the confusion will disappear. If Theos to you means the only true God in every instance, then yes, you will remain confused and may need to res…

John 1:1 doesn’t lead us to reconcile two as God.
It simply states that the Word was with God in the beginning and that this Word was what God created all things through. The Word is theos means the Word was divine.

Can you state this in other words because I don’t understand what you are getting at:
Again, scripture is not telling us that we need to reconcile Jesus as God so I don’t need to bother doing that.
Thanks, LU

@t8,
You said: Except there is no expectation in scripture or from the apostles to reconcile Jesus as God. So why bother?
The cell theory can give insight to John 1:1 and John 1:18 for starters.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:18 No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God…[Read more]Lightenup replied to the topic Who and what is Jesus? – The Trinity Doctrine in the forum Inspirational writings & sermons 5 years, 10 months ago
@t8,
Did Jesus create himself… Yes or No ?
Look at the Cell Theory (above) and see how it is a relationship that is created, not the substance. The moment the offspring relationship was created, the parent relationship was created but the substance was eternal in both and identical. Also see that the parent cell is the giver, the son cell is t…[Read more]

@t8,
Thank you for those scriptures. I will be addressing them again soon LORD willing. First though, I want to clarify something you don’t seem to understand about the cell theory. I do not think that God is like a cell. I think that looking at the cell during closed mitosis can give us insight how one organism becomes two distinct, yet…[Read more]

Hi Gene,
We agree that the creator God would be the God of gods and the Lord of lords, that’s great, Gene. In your last post, you understand that adonai is YHVH. Do you understand that Jesus is YHVH our Righteousness, Lord of lords, Lord of all, the one Lord who gives the power to become children of God?
Do you understand that you and your wife…[Read more]

Hi Gene,
I agree that there are many different things that people relate to as their most important thing in their life, like money, or fame, etc. however the true God would be the power that brings everything into existence. Would you agree with that? Only the creator God would be the God of gods and the Lord or lords, do you agree?

Then again some of those who believe that all things were made through the Son, seek the scriptures for more information on the matter and accept that God the Father is identifying the Son as the YHVH who is spoken of here in Hebrews 1:10 “You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord, and the heavens are the works of your hands.

Mike,
You said: The apostles CLEARLY prayed to a certain single Sovereign Lord (hence “Lord” and not “Lords”).
I agree, they prayed to the ONE LORD (YHVH) who created all things in heaven and on earth, who is one unity of Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. They emphasized the Son within that unity as the one whose name they performed miracul…[Read more]
