With a little help from God, I believe that the baptism at Jordon was a type of the baptism of the holy spirit at and after Pentecost.  The apostles had received the holy spirit at John 20:22.  They received the holy spirit with power at Pentecost.  Christ had the holy spirit before Jordan.  He receive power of the holy spirit at Jordan.

That is, our sins forgiven and paid for.

P.S.  The apostles had received the holy spirit after Christ’s resurrection but not with the sacrifice of Christ in it and with power until Pentecost (John 20:22).  Christ, a human, was now part of the holy spirit in heart and mind.  Therefore, we humans greatly benefit from this in understanding, among other greater things as having our sins fo…[Read more]
