@EdJ,
1) What reason/s do you have to offer this speculation? Do you have any?
It is not speculation since there is evidence that infers (hints) that Simeon was made the promise before Jesus was conceived and that is Jesus’ age as well as the fact that the writer thought it important enough to mention that Simeon had received that particular…[Read more]

t8,
Kerwin, when you empty yourself, you are not comitting suicide. What you are doing is placing something else before you, in this case if you deny all your privilege and power and become a servant, then that is one apt description of emptying yourself.
Remember that we still must love our fellow man as we love ourselves. To love yourself we…

@Ed,
When Simeon said: “mine eyes have seen thy salvation” was he wrong? “YES” or “NO” ?
The Christ is the promised Christ because Jesus was most likely no even conceived when Simon was given that promise. The word promise is inferred from the context just like with other instances of Scripture.
The same is true of salvation. Unless ther…[Read more]

@t8,
I have to disagree with you because he said as you will not me.
Jesus’s will, the desires of his flesh, was not the one that chose to sacrifice himself but rather it was God’s will, the desires of the Spirit.
It was his actions based on God’s desires that he sacrifice himself.
In a certain way he is an empty vessel, which is why…[Read more]

You said:
They are two different beings and together they are the one God, YHVH in the fullest sense. YHVH is both, the Father and the Son, the God of gods AND the Lord of lords. One is seen in the OT and NT and one is unseen.
The flaw is your reasoning is that it introduces the broken teaching that Jesus is the one God at the same…[Read more]

Dsutta1,
I have heard alph and omega have symbolic meanings that were known at that time and in the culture involved. In Hebrew the equivalent is I am Aleph and Tav. Tav is translated mark in Ezekiel 9:4 and also happens to be a cross.
I get this from an interesting article called what is the aleph tav.

Nick,
It is not written that flesh and blood is not imperishable. Instead it is written that God found his creation very good. It is also written that Adam was flesh and bone in the Garden and death came into the world through his sin. Do you believe death was in world before he sinned?

Tigger,
You do realize the Trinitarians probably believe God has the same bodily form as human beings. They are arguing with their brother Trinitarians; who instead believe Jesus is the essence as God.
Unless you branch off from the JW’s teaching you will be a member of the later group not the earlier. The idea that morph means bodily form…[Read more]

tigger,
The key word in your sentence is Trinitarian. From the use of morph’s that there is some deception used with their statement though it probably come from the lack of knowledge of those that interpret the experts words. Some Trinitarians interpret it to the word nature in Philippians 2:5-7 which is not literally “form in the sense of…[Read more]

Nick,
Returning the same way does not include the form except by your presumption.
Do you believe it means he will return a donkey or some not attributed to him in Scripture?

Ed,
There is not Scripture that states otherwise. Instead we are told Jesus has a flesh and bone body just before he ascended to heaven and as I said there is no mention of any change after that. We also told he is the human being that mediates between God and humanity in heaven. It is also the Son of humanity that returns is the sky; the same…[Read more]

Tigger,
Form’ may be used to translate morphe, but it also must be understood that it is restricted to the outward appearance of something, not to its essence.
That is incorrect as neither a servant or God has an outward form. In fact the NT only three times one of which is as you say the appearance of the face. The one I want to point o…[Read more]
